Anyone else had a bad experience ??

Has anyone else had a problem with being messed around? I had my first consultation with Dr Mounir in May who recommended I have a lift with the implants, he asked for a second surgeon opinion Dr Giannitrapani who confirmed I would need a lift but said have it after I have kids in the future. I decided to go with Dr Mounir as I wanted to get the lift out the way now. My booked surgery was 27th of October which then got moved to 29th. It was three weeks before my surgery and heard nothing off MYA as I’d had no consultation to discuss sizing so I had to ring them myself and they quickly tried to ram my face to face consultation, covid test etc into these three weeks. I then travelled all the way to leeds from Sheffield to meet Dr Mounir for him to tell me yes he did recommend the lift but he doesn’t actually do lifts? Which I never got told and I’d been paying instalments every month from June for the lift. I then had another consultation with Dr Mahdi who said my breast are too difficult to operate on. Now I have had my photos sent to Mr Mileto. Went on his Instagram to see he’s based in London???!! I live in Sheffield and said I’d like to stay local (nottingham or leeds clinics). I haven’t been informed once he’s from London and I’d have to travel all the way down there. I still have no date for my surgery and I feel very very disheartened with my experience. If I could cancel and go with another company I would but i don’t want to lose my £500 deposit.
Has anyone else had any experience like this? Because I came with MYA because 3 of my friends recommended but I honestly feel like I’m never going to end up having this surgery done. Maybe I will a year after my first consultation!

I had an amazing experience with Dr Mileto. I had my surgery within a month of contacting MYA. Had my consultations in Bristol and then an overnight stay in London for my surgery. I’m a little over two weeks post op and I’m amazed at how perfect mine look already. All the staff at the clinic were lovely, within half an hour of arriving there I was in my surgery gown and asleep within the hour. I honestly couldn’t recommend enough. He’s a quiet man but makes you feel comfortable and is very knowledgeable.

I’d recommend travelling to London as the best surgeons practice there. The most experienced too, so if your breasts are complicated to operate on it will definitely be better to go there.

yeah hopefully it will be worth it then! Just didn’t want to travel all the way down to London for the consultation but I’ve been told now he does consultations in Manchester which is a relief. It was just the initial miss communication with Dr Mounir which really frustrated me. Thank you for replying ☺️

I know you may not want to change surgeon but why not see MR Traynor he’s just carried out and amazing lift on me and is Preston for surgery and manchester for consultation. My breasts are difficult and I can’t believe the amazing job he did xx

My surgeon didn’t even know he was doing a lift with implants after I’d paid and was having the op days later … told me to do the rice sizers . He only knew my knew the size on the day of the op. Bearing in mind the rice sizers (350) were on top of the implants I’d already got in which they dint tell me to take into account . Nightmare xx

I certainly can’t complain about my surgeon (Mr Giannas) but my experience with MYA was an absolute disaster.

On the original day of my op I was 5’ away from being put to sleep and taken into theater in London New a Victoria hospital (I was already in surgical attire, painted by the surgeon) when the surgeon discovered they had not ordered the implants we spoke about and he had ordered over a month ago during our pre op consultation in Birmingham.

We obviously had to cancel the surgery that day. My parents had travelled from Spain to take care of me and partner returned early from Italy. We all lost money and the refund by Mya is rubbish (which I’m still waiting to receive). I also had to postpone my return to work and missed a month of work for nothing.

Also, within the time frame I could be operated on they found a slot in Preston (I live near London) and they took from my compensation the travel costs and hotel costs in Preston. (I mean it wasn’t my fault surgery didn’t go ahead in London and had to end up in Preston).

Absolutely awful.

I’m sick of this honestly. I’ve still got no where with the surgery even though I had my first consultation last may. I decided to go ahead with Mr Mileto. In November … it’s now January still got absolutely no where. I waited from November till Jan 20th to have an appointment with him, cancelled because of him isolating. Meant to see him Monday 25th that’s now been cancelled too because he is “showing symptoms”, well why isn’t he having a test then? Now I have no date at all. I’m absolutely sick to death of this and would love to cancel but the fact they take months and months to refund you is what is holding me off. Most frustrating thing ever wish I went with a different company

Although I do want my nose done with mya as they look good

I had Mr mileto in Preston which was a nightmare for me because I’m closer to London but it was the only date he had. I had mine done back in September last year and now seeing him tomorrow to confirm if I need revision
