Anyone had their surgery and have spots of their back?

I recently came off a medication which has let me to break out of my back. Sorry tmi and embarrassing.
My surgeon told me can’t have them on my back as it might cause an infection?
Has anybody been told this before ?
Or has had some spots on their back and still had the surgery?

I’m scared she’ll turn me away day of surgery.

The surgeon may be talking about MRSA infection which can be serious.
If they are like acne I don’t know why there there would be a problem unless weeping?
