April surgery’s??

Hi girls,
I’ve got my surgery booked for 24th April, next Tuesday the closer I get the more excited/nervous I get ! Anyone else had or having there surgery in April ?? Xx

Mines on the 23rd in London ???? nervous but I guess that’s normal. Waiting on my admission time xxx

Eek wouldn’t that be awesome! This is all so exciting! Just had my nails removed for this surgery! My fingers feel naked haha x

I removed mine about a week ago, what a state they was underneath ???? lol have you got far to travel from? I think we’re leaving about 3ish in the morning xx

Mine are a mess too! Like paper!
I live in Reading but I’ll be staying up in London tonight so I don’t have to rush around really early in the morning, but it would only take 40mins if I was driving up anyway. Where are you coming from? X

Not far at all for you then. I’m coming from Cardiff way so a good few hours drive for us early hours. Not that i’ll Be able to sleep anyways lol it’s come around so quick. It always doesn’t feel real until I’m there at Fitzroy xx

I’m just driving down to london now Brooke. Staying down there tonight. Mines at 7am I’m so excited but starting to get abit nervy now. I’m gonna eat as much as I can when I get there ahaha xx

@laura2704  hey! Mine was at 8am this morning. I had Dr Netri and I was in Preston. How are You feeling after it all? I hardly have pain just a sort feeling when I stand to stretch my body abit I had over a though so think that’s why I have minimum pain, hoping it stays like this and doesn’t get worse. I had drains vom!!! They really grossed me out the left one was stuck and she had to give it a good pull twice yuk! Xx

Hi girls , how are you all feeling? I had my op on Tuesday and the pain is bareable but the sickness is another level! I feel horrendous & have struggled to eat much. Has anyone else had this? I’ve stopped the pain killers in case it’s them xxx

@emilyomahony I threw up so much from the pain killers they gave me so just switched to paracetamol so it’s probably that! I felt like a soon as I stopped them I started to improve

@claireglover93 hi glad things went well! Sorry to hear about your drains, I had them too and had read that they were awful to remove but mine weren’t too bad.
Do you have your post op appointment with the nurse booked already? I need to ring my clinic today and arrange it. I’m getting numb tingly feeling in my right hand don’t know if it’s a trapped nerve or something. How you finding sleeping upright? I hate it! X

@laura2704 yeah mines booked for this Friday. Oh really? Have you lifted the bottom of your bra to see if it’s that pressing on something?
I’m okay sleeping the cocodamol keeps knocking me right out! After 15 mins of it I’m passed out! It’s the sickness feelings I can’t stand when i take the antibiotics! They make my belly grumble like hunger pains. How are you finding things? X

Hey Laura. I had the tingling in my left hand but it’s back to normal now so it’s nothing to worry about. Hope your all feeling okay cannot wait for my reveal now. Bet your all excited ???? xx

@claireglover93 the surgeon said he did some stitching at the side of the pocket on my right so this may have affected the nerve or the implant is pinching my nerves to my arm because they’re so high atm up underneath my armpits!
are you on augmentin antibiotics? they’re awful and give me horrible stomach pains! if i have them just after i’ve eaten a meal it’s not too bad x

@laura2704 I had it for a couple of days I’m only 5 days post op and not got the tingling sensation think it’s just the anaesthetic and nerves. I panicked but I read that it was just normal to get it. Xx

@kirstysarina126 glad the tingling improved for you. I got worried falling asleep last night and the tingling/numbness I’m my extremities has continued today and Im starting to panic about sepsis or meningitis. I called the clinic to speak to the nurse, Im currently waiting for her to call me back. It’s so scary but I’m reading it’s quite a common symptom after any surgery.
