I keep reading bad reviews and opinions on Macoms.
I’m just in process of stocking up on my essentials for my Op end of May and am wondering if it is worth paying out £50 for one of these bra’s ?
I’ve got 2 sports bra’s (one arrived today ) that zip up front the I bought off eBay, (great price too!) , they are ex F&F stock high impact sports bras , are these good enough or do I need a Macom?
I’m a bit confused what will aid my recovery best. Xx
They should be good enough babe. Any high impact zip up should do the trick. I had a macom and it was amazing as it was so supportive but oh my god does it hurt when all the sensitivity come back in my nipples! I’ve had to go into a softer material bra so it’s always good to have back ups if you do decide to get one x
I got the macom signature bra and used the code Mybreast and got some discount off, so didn’t have to pay delivery. I’ve tried it on and it seems so comfy and really supportive, I haven’t had my surgery yet so dont know how I will feel with it afterwards but they bras specifically designed for breast surgery xx
Thanks Jessica and Amy. Seems to be a vice with the Macom ,the itchy feeling from what I have read. A friend has recommended M&S too which a lot seem to like , the high impact and a brand called Royce. Seems I’m getting an obsession for colourful sports bras too now. Lol xxx
M&S are supposed to be really good as they are softer and supportive too. I ordered a couple to change into as my Macom is driving me insane. Don’t get me wrong it’s a good bra for the first week or two but after that not so much. If you have ones already that will do the job I wouldn’t bother x
I’ve heard great things about the macoms however a couple of weeks after surgery they loose their shape as they mould to your boobs and with swelling etc…but then you can change into a normal sports bra. I was recommended M&S by my PC so didn’t get the macoms. I bought a 2 pack of high impact sports bras for £32.50 but with the he strapping I have they don’t fit properly so bought this one for £25 and the support is unreal! It’s recommended to buy a band up so I was a 34 so went to 36 and bought a D rather than a larger size just to ensure the support is there.
Thanks Gemma. I’m going for these M&S too. Xx
Hey, I bought a MaCom and have had it on since surgery, although today I’ve had to order an m&s as this one is far too tight for me, I know they’re meant to be tight for the swelling etc although it’s to the point of digging into my skin and seriously leaving marks. I’d just go with a high impact sports bra!! Not worth the money if I went back I wouldn’t get one again xx
Hey Hun, M&S have a post surgery extra high impact bra (black and pink). You get the VAT off this being a post surgery item so it only costs £20. I had from the start and it was supportive enough I think. It looks alright too 🙂
Hi Carly, I bought them before surgery, I’m normally a 32 back but needed 34 in certain styles so I decided to go with 34 back to accommodate the swelling. I just asked my surgeon what cupsize he recommeded and he told me to get a DD. They were very tight for a few days but became more comfy as the swelling went down. X
I got my bra for about 35 pound. Using code mya2017 xxx
I’m the same as Orsolya I got a 34 back as I’m usually between a 32-34 xxxx
