So confused, after seeing my PC she advised me against unders but now my surgeon has said partials. Are partials the same as unders? What are the disadvantages to partials? I’ve read no cleavage etc

As far as I am aware yes ;).
In theory there are full unders which go below all three layers of chest muscle… But
I think they are very rare. So most unders are partial in that try go under the first layer of muscle. So technically they are partial, but I think that for most the words are interchangeable.

I could be completely and utterly wrong about this… 😉 but that’s my understanding.

Thank for that, that is what I have read in post places but my PC said it is very rare for people to be suitable for partials. So confused!

I have partials. Basically 2/3 will be covered by muscle and 1/3 isnt. I had to have them due to a lach of tissue/muscle so full unders wouldnt fit. Basically get the best of both with them x

I have partials too. He said unders but when he described what he was going to do they are actually only partials. They are almost 3 weeks old now and looking fab! My right boob has dropped and moved into place, my left has dropped but not moved round to the correct position yet. I should be able to achieve a fab cleavage once thy are in place x

Also cleavage is achieved by what your boobs can naturally do e.g. If breasts are closer set on chest wall then implants will sit closer together and give a fab cleavage. If you have wide set boobs (like me) then no matter where implant is placed like over, under or partial you will struggle to push them together to create a good cleavage as the implant can only go were natural breast is already sitting or nipples would sit on sides rather than the middle of breast x

I have partials and I have a cleavage 🙂 guess it varys girl to girl about that but they are under part of the muscle so I guess they are under one layer…. I think partials gives a nice shape at the top of the breast! x
