Are underwired bras ok after 6 week post op?

Hi 🙂

I was 6 week post op with Wednesday gone. The nurse told me to avoid underwired bras but I don’t know whether she ment completely or just don’t wear them often?!!
So I went to get measured, I’d been looking forward to going to Victoria’s Secret but when I got measured there I’m only a 30 back and they start at 32 so the bras didn’t fit right and they only had underwired.
The lady who measured me at Debenhams said she used to work in clients and I need an underwired bra for
support and to keep the shape of the implant …they don’t do non wired in my size… she said I was a 30ff/g.
Then at John Lewis the lady said not to get an underwired bra but I didn’t like any of their non wired ones… in the end I went to Calvin K and got 2 bralettes as they were half price even thro my boobs are a bit too big for them .
Anyone recommend what’s best?

Once your boobs have fully dropped and it sounds like urs have because ur able yo get measured and they fit in a bra, ur allowed to go underwired.

I bought two when I first got measured and Wear them for work to give me support and a good shape. On the evenings and weekends I go braless or wear nine wired / Crop top style. After 8 hours the wire starts to dig and irritate my boob. It was worse when I started wearing them and has gradually calmed down.

I was sleeping with a crop top until six months post op. My surgeon said I’m fine to go braless as I had unders ans they won’t droop.

Marks and Spencer have a good range of non wired bras that have skinny straps and really comfy material thibk it’s called comfort bra or something and I’m sure they start at a 30 back. I’m a 28 so can’t wear them. It’s good practice to stick to ur back sie though as it’ll help keep good posture and correct fit for ur boobs. Hope that helps fxxx
