I’m so excited I’m meeting Dr Linda Fuimara on the 10th!!!
I’m petit 5.2 9 stone side 6-8 top & 8 bottom and I’m looking to go 250-275cc HP unders. Done a lot of research and this is what I’m favouring.
Does she let you choose or does she recommend and you have to go with that? Xxx
Hi Lorna, when I met Dr Traynor he decided that I was going to have Round High Profile Overs as this would give me the best result and I had the option of 400cc, 425cc and 450cc, I only tried on 450cc and 425cc. Most people say to go with the biggest that you are offered.
Not sure how Dr F is in her consultations as I never met her. She may say that a bigger implant or a different profile would suit you better than what you are liking. X
It’s always a good idea to have a idea what size implants you want or the desired cup size too , however your surgeon will examine your chest , and take measurements to decide what size cc your chest can take.
Hiya Lorna I had Linda Fiumara on Dec 12th.
She will go through series of questions and take measurements of ur chest width, width of breasts, distance between them and take several pics. Depending on ur lifestyle I.e if u work out a lot, age, quality of beast tissue /skin. If u plan to have kids /breastfeed /history of breast cancer she will advise on overs, unders or partials.
Linda usually orders in a choice of profiles in each of the sizes. I saw her three times before my op to discuss various things because I was getting a mini uplift and I wanted to know what profile I was getting.
I wasn’t clued up on the profiles when I initally went in at first I wasn’t so bothered tbh. Initially she offered me 275cc or 300cc. She mentioned I would need a mini uplift because I had a slight pitosis so I spent some time researching it and then went back to find out what she would do exactly to feel at ease. Linda stressed to me she would not perform my ba without a mini uplift as I would not get a good result. I was slightly mortified because I didn’t think my breasts were droopy or majorly saggy at all. I knew I wanted her to perform my surgery as she is a proper perfectionist and her results are so natural.
After that I was happy with her thorough explanation and reasoning behind the mini uplift and asked of I could be upped to 325cc.ahw examined me again and agreed that would be an option. Linda wrote on my notes to order in 275, 300 and 325 in hp and mod + from what I understand they usually try the largest implant first. If they can get it in and it looks good then they stick with it.
A week before my op I brought along about four bras to show her. Linda doesn’t like macoms she prefers soft non compression bras like a basic calvin klein style crop bra. So I brought a selection for her to check the sizing. On the day of the op I ended up in a sloggi crop top I bought from John Lewis for a tenner as it was on offer. I had it on for abt 5 days post op cos I couldn’t lift my arms or anything! I was under the impression from reading on the forum I would be changing my bra constantly but tht wasn’t the case. The bra was so comfy and soft as its 100% cotton.
Linda did not decide my profile until the day of the op after reviewing pics on her laptop the night before. I think it really depends with the width of ur chest and assemetry when it comes to her fully deciding on a profile. I know for some people she says straight away what is needed bur for others if you have slighr or massive differences she takes her time to keep reviewing what is best and doesn’t rush into it.
She is very methodical in her approach and thoughtful. She will only do what she feels will give the best most natural result and she honestly knows best.
Go in with an open mind and just ask as many questions as u can as she’s really helpful and happy to assure u of her professional judgement. I personally wouldn’t get hung up on a size or profile until you have spoken to her and tried the sizers on.
If u want to up your implant size after your first consultation you can do so but you need to go back to clarify and she can add it to your notes as this cannot be done day of surgery. That goes for all the surgeons at mya.
Linda is a real perfectionist and she honestly knows best she won’t do anything that will look weird or fake looking and she has a very good reputation for explaining her reasoning. She even drew little diagrams to explain the uplift and having implants under the muscle for me as I don’t know much about it. I never felt rushed or pushed and I did feel that she really valued my in put too and didn’t feel like she wasn’t interested in what I had to say.
If you have any more questions feel free to message me fxx
Wow thanks so much for the lengthy explination!
I have read really good things about her so far and was hoping that I had picked the right one for me and I am so glad that I have. My op is 30th Jan so I’m pretty excited and nervous. Iv researched heaps and now that’s it’s coming closer I seem to keep finding things to research and ask about!
I’m pretty flat chested now so I don’t think I would be able to go much bigger really than 275, I never had children but I have lost weight recently but my boobs have never been bigger than a B cup anyway. And with being 28 I have noticed that they are not quite as perky as they were but I don’t think they sag. I suppose she knows best and I am so very excited!!! Xxx
