Are you only allowed one visitor????

Hi girls, got my admission time yesterday for my op on Tuesday, just read over the email and it says the hospital first trust at Preston are only able to accommodate one visitor per patient, both my parents had planned to come with me as prefer to go in my own car as its a lot comfier than my mums (she can’t drive a manual) lol, so my dads coming a long to drive as obvs I can’t drive back. Does anyone know what will happen? Will one of them get turned away? Xxx

They tell you when you first go in that your only allowed 1 person in the room so I told my dad to wait in reception whilst my boyfriend stayed in the room then quickly saw my dad just before surgery but then when I came out I just told them both to come in because I wanted to see them both and I knew the nurses wouldn’t make one of them leave! There was 2 chairs in my room too!! Xx
