Has anyone taken arnica before they’re op? My op is on Wednesday but don’t know when is best time to start taking it don’t want to start to soon or leave it too late? Thanks x
I would definitely start taking it now. I will help so much with the healing process x
Yes I was advised to take it – I think I was told to start taking it no earlier than a day before my op. Defo helped as I had no bruising – it was just lucky! X
Sorry to jump in but never heard of this where do you get it from?x
Is it in tablets I’ve only seen it in cream to apply to bruises .
Hope you don’t mind me asking
Xx
Yes it’s in tablet form X you need to get the strongest dose. X
I was told not to use this by my surgeon/nurse. I think every surgeon has their own rules etc though xx
Tried to upload a picture of them for you so easier to find but won’t upload ? x
I’ve got the cream version, can I use that? Where did you girls find the tablet form? Xx
I have no idea about the cream form of it I got the higher dose of the tablets they’re tiny you just chew or suck them, taste like nothing if anything a bit sweet, Holland & Barrett sells them in a lipstick sized purple dispenser ask at counter and they will point them out if you can’t see them, good luck x
Got the stuff, thank you! Such a help! Whens best to start using it? ?x
What is arnica? I had my op today and nothing was mentioned about it in my pre op. What do they do? Xxx
It is to help prevent/reduce bruising after any surgery, I started taking it two days before I’m now two days post op and will stop taking it today as your only recommended to take it for 5 days, I have some swelling on breasts but as far as I can see I have no actual bruising and still have full use of my arms (which is a bit of a pain because if I use them without thinking it does strain the boobies a bit) would defo recommend using arnica it worked for me xx
