Arnica and painkiller post op

Hi girls. I’m sure this has been written about countless times, but when can you start taking arnica and vitamin E after the op? I know you can’t take it before. I’m an overnight so do I take it with me to take in the hospital? (Thinking about what to take in my overnight bag!)
Also, I can’t have Codine as I react to it – has anyone else taken other pain killers post op?

Why can’t you take arnica before? Normally I take before ops a couple of weeks prior to build up in system. Not heard that before

Can you take tramadol?

I was told by my PC not to take it before…not really sure why! But we are not supposed to take any medicine two weeks before including homeopathic medicine…..perhaps something to do with thinning the blood? I’m not sure really (and prob sound really stupid! Ha ha!) I want to know if I can start it straight after the op though.

Now I’m so confused! My surgeon is Fuimara. Has anyone else taken it before the op? Do they ask you before the op? Would it be ok for me to start taking it now you think? My op is a week today x

I’m now taking arnica 2 weeks before op & 1 week after. I was told to start taking it by my nurse at my medical. Iv only got 4 days untill the big day 😀

I also got told to take arnica a week before my op just not on my op day then start taking it again afterwards xx
