Arnica… Yay? Or Nay?

Hey Ladies!
Just wondered if anyone has taken arnica for post op swelling/bruising? If so how did it help? And how did you take it?

Hey! I have bought arnica cream and tablets, but the nurse at my pre op told me that I shouldn’t use it?! xx

Ooo okay did she say why? I’ve heard mixed reviews on it, not that it doesn’t work but on people being able to use it I think the tablets are what alot go for xx

The first nurse I spoke to said I could use it, but the second nurse said they only really recommend for bruising on the face after rhinoplastys etc – but I started taking arnica 3 days before my BA and 3 days after and I’ve not had any bruising so it does work! 🙂 xx

When I asked about it the nurse said “just no” so I asked why and again she said “just no”… bit confusing, as it’s been so good for other things – it scared me off but I think I might use them anyway as they can’t do any harm?! still ask and see what you are told. Dee that’s fab, and makes me think I should use them regardless. Hope you’re recovering well xx

Hey hun had my BA yesterday and I was also told not use it. I have no bruising so far but everyone’s different. So maybe just go with what you’re surgeon or PC says xx

I also asked about it and nurse very aggressively said no. So I didn’t bother but my bruising wasn’t too bad
