    Hey
Just to say remember to ask plenty of questions at your consultation!
I understandably found it quite embarrassing stripping off to be assessed and then was focussing so much on talking about sizes and profiles with the surgeon I came away without asking all the questions I planned to, e.g about some of the risks. I was a bit bamboozled by the end and did feel a bit rushed. Just ask any questions even if its time to go with your patient coordinator and try on implants.

Hey, great advice! I’ve got my surgeon consultation all booked and can’t wait! What actually happens in it??

Your surgeon will come to the waiting room and take you to the room. Then he will sit down with you and get you to sign a paper. Then you go behind a screen and he will assess you, say what size your boobs are – I wear padded 32c cup and it fits quite well but my surgeon said I’m an A 🙁 I found this quite hard but it doesn’t take long! That is the worst part over with. The surgeon will say if you will have unders, overs or partials. Then you discuss what sort of cup size you want as an idea but implant size is not related to cup size. And also whether you want moderate plus, high or ultra high profile. The surgeon writes down several sizes you can choose depending on your shape and what can be achieved. They will go through risks of the op. Then you take your paper with sizes on with the patient coordinator and try implants on by a mirror. Take different tops with you to judge the look. They should have a bra there. If your pc doesn’t come into the consultation, ask your surgeon if you can have one to come in as I did. It just makes a difference to have someone else there and they can remember info if you forget something that the surgeon said, I did as I was quite nervous! its all very straightforward 🙂

Oh wow, thank you for that, its put my mind at ease. I’m nervous about getting undressed to be assessed … Silly, its a needs must but yeah. I wear a v. Padded 32C/30DD atm, but I’m tiny so I’m sure he will measure me different! I’m so excited though! Have you booked your surgery yet?
