Hey Iv just booked a consultation for Friday for a BA due to being very self conscious about my boobs, but still not 100% on what do do yet but was wondering anyone who has had a BA ride or own horses? I have two so will struggle sorting out and riding the them
If I need a long period of rest, so wondered if anyone had experience with horse owning and getting a BA and how you managed to cope?

Hi Hun, I ride regularly but haven’t been able to for 6 weeks.
I asked my PC this and she said going forward providing I wear a very good support sports bra I should be fine. Double check with the surgeon. I suppose it’s like most sports really.
For the first 6 weeks absolutely nothing – no mucking out or handling them so as not to strain your self at all.
    Hope this helps xxx

I’ve also got my own horse, my surgery is Friday. I’m having her on full livery for at least 6 weeks and will get someone else to lightly work her a couple of times a week but I’ll be there and still pop down to check on her, just won’t be doing anything x

    I have 25 horses.
I started back riding quiet ones last week at 4 weeks. But not doing too much. My ps told me no riding for 12 weeks – that was never happening!
I didn’t muck out for 2 and a half weeks and even then I didn’t empty wheelbarrows.
I also only mucked out those on rubber mats not deep beds (as I can’t dig into beds to lift wet out)

Riding I also wear a sports bra over my macom and so far have stuck to hacking and not schooling.

Hope that helps. Good luck with your BA
