Hi yeah I mean start to finish, your not aloud to eat nothing 6 hours before so woke up at 7am admission time 1pm so had a cuppa and nothing else, was told not to smoke and threatened I would be tested and surgery would be canceled if I did, got there waited till 5.30 to go down starving, thirsty, dying for a fag that I wasn’t even tested for! Woke up from surgery don’t no what time exactly but they was pushing me back in my room, I was sick (blood) but don’t be worried it didn’t hurt and it was only a bit from what I must of had in my throat from my op, slept most of the night I was in no pain just discomfort, you cannot breathe through your nose! So it’s hard to eat so order soft things and take some fizzy drinks with you, I’d say my saviour was lip balm, breathing through your mouth it gets so dry so lip balm, fluids and maybe some sucky sweets, boob wise the worst thing was the drains coming out its so uncomfortable the dressing is so sticky and tight it hurts to pull off I’m dreading getting it off on Thursday, I never touched any painkillers apart from paracetamol and ibprophen got my arm movements back still can’t breathe through my nose 🙂 but it’s all worth it in the end how u feeling are you nervous? x
