Hi girls.. not too sure if il get any replies to this but im slightly worried about the effects of getting pregnant will have on the look of my boobs. My surgery is booked for 10th oct but now im worrying wether ive made the right decision to have them done before ive had children. Anyone got any experience of this? Xx
Also interested in this … I don’t plan to have children for quite a long time but be interesting to know xx
I’ve been wondering the same but my body doesn’t really change weight wise do I don’t think it would change much in the boob department if/when pregnant. Everyone’s bodies are different so it’s hard to know either way really. X
I’m also worried about this as I had my ba last month and I plan on trying for a baby probably spring next year! My consultant recommended to wait around 9 months as he said during the first few months of pregnancy they shouldn’t change too much so thst would more or less take me to a year post op. I’ve heard they look better as they get bigger and softer so look more natural so I hope this happens for me!! My consultant also said eveyone is diffrent and one of his patients got pregnant 2 weeks after her ba!! xx
I just hope i dont end up hating them after having a baby ???? x
Hi ladies
I would like to know too. I had my daughter 5 years ago and always had very small boobs. They got bigger during pregnancy and when she was born my milk came in and they were HUGE over night, like two round balls. I had no idea my boobs were capable of getting that big. I breastfeed for a long time but when I stopped ???? my boobs went back down. They are by no means terrible but they have a bit of loose skin. I really want them done but as I am considering another child one day the prospect of them increasing in size with implants makes me wonder if my skin could cope. If implants stretch our skin to capacity then surely pregnancy on top can only lead to sketch marks?
Hi I can not comment myself as I have waited until after I have had my two children to get a BA but a very close friend who had her BA after her first child then went on to have 2 more said that she wish she would have waited as they now need redoing due to being stretched when her milk came in. She says she will need bigger implants to fill the loose skin. I know this is just the option of one person and it doesn’t mean this will happen to everyone but I thought I would share
I know someone who had her BA and went on to have her little girl a few years later. She said her boobs were barely effected, however she did not breast feed.
I plan on having another baby in a couple of years and my BA is next month. My boobs hardly changed at all through pregnancy and after, I was a bit disheartened.. not even pregnancy gave me boobs!! Haha x
Pregnancy changes your boobs, regardless of breastfeeding or not, some people’s genetics allow them to return to prepregnancy size/shape with very little loss of volume, others will be noticeabley different. The bigger/heavier they are the more likely to sag but that goes for natural breasts too.
I’ve waited till I think i am done with babies but a friend of mine had large 500cc implants and has had a baby and breastfed with very little lasting effects (they were enormous while feeding) another friend had a baby and didn’t breastfeed had natural small breasts which sagged awfully.
Mine have lost volume post kids but i dont know how much of that is weight loss and how much is babies/breastfeeding x
I had a BA 12 years ago with 380cc hp overs and I have a gorgeous 9 year old daughter. I breast fed her with no problems at all. In fact it helped that I have never got the full feeling back in my nipples after my BA So it helped with the cracked/sore nipples. I am now booked in for a re-aurgmention on the 13th Nov with Mr Mounir only because ive lost nearly 2 stone and I’m unhappy with the size now and I have rippling in both breasts. X
Mr traynor told me to wait at least 2 years before havng a baby – unsure of the exact reasons if im honest but must be somthing to so with them settling. Mya did a blog on having babies after a ba the other month, it will still be on their website x
Hi girls! My op is on Monday and I have had the same concerns with regards to BA and babies so I thought I’d share with you my thoughts…
I already have a little one whom I breast fed exclusively for 6 months – my boobs were massive towards the end of pregnancy and during feeding, and then left empty afterwards although they were never great before anyway, hence the surgery! Pregnancy would most likely affect your breasts regardless of a BA, but with implants you’re not going to lose the volume that you would without them. I do plan to have more children in the future and breastfeed if I can, but my theory is that no matter what happens to them post baby, the result will always be better than what I had that made me want to have surgery in the first place.
(Also my friend had a BA inbetween children and she said that they changed slightly but if anything they looked more natural after pregnancy)
Hope this helps xxx
