Bad bruising ten days PO

There is a nasty black, blue and red bruise underneath thenipple area on my left boob. It started off as a normal looking bruise and it’s just getting worse and worse and spreading. It’s also really swollen underneath there so it hasn’t dropped over the incision like my right one has. Does any body know if this is anything to worry about or not? xx

It would be best if you ring your nurse. She will advise you. You may get wrong advice off here that could result in you becoming overly worried. I had a small bruise like you’ve stated underneath mine although mine wasn’t spreading the nurse wanted to keep an eye on it. If I was you I would ring them today and put your mind at ease. After all we have paid for aftercare so make user of it. Keep me posted. xx

Okay hun, thanks ill give them a call. Its very large, I hope I don’t have to go to the clinic or anything as im about an hour away!
Its not causing me any pain but then again they are completely numb in that area. Can I ask if yours were numb there? xx

Yes they were both quite numb although the side of the bruise more so and they still are to be honest. I’m 3 weeks now. Some days feel better than others. When I pressed on the bruise it was really tender but 1 week later its not and the bruise is smaller. Definitely ring your nurse though hun. xx

Ahh ok it must be normal to be numb I Spose it hasn’t been very long sinse the opp!
It’s gonna take a while for us to feel completely normal again!
I’ve tried to call and not having much luck, I’ve left a message xx

Definitely call to double check. But I had really bad bruising which took a couple of weeks to come out and it was so swollen and it stayed around until about 4/5 weeks post. I guess some people bruise worse than others!! Xx

Nope @vicky150679 haven’t has any joy! I will have to try again on Tuesday! Typical, I’ve never had trouble getting through before with general queries lol

@beckyhax ah makes me feel better that somebody else had it too! It’s the swollen-nes that worries me cause its like ive got extra skin underneath the left one where it can’t drop cause of the swelling under the bruise! xx

Hey @vicky150679 just to let you know I sent pics to the nurse today and she came back and said that it should be fine but to just keep an eye on it incase it gets hard or gets painful. Thanks for your help 🙂 xx

Awww that’s ok happy to help. It can be quite daunting not knowing what’s going on. I’m glad the nurse got back to you. This forum is great for seeking advice but sometimes you can get wrong advice which cauld make you really worried. xx

Yeah And I made the mistake of googling it, apparently it could of been a blood clot lol but to be fair it did give me a kick up the backside to call her again lol xx
