Bathing and showering

Hi all,
Just a quick one for for you lovely ladies post op!!
With regards to washing are we restricted to when we can have a bath/shower
I’m one of these people who get iratated if I’m not clean so shower and bath each day sometimes a few times a day

I think it depends who your surgeon is and what stitches you do. I had the three stitch technique with glue no stapling so I could shower the next day. Best to ask your sugreon after the op xx

Yes defo ask ur surgeon as it depends on technique used and exactly wht u had done. I was allowed to have shallow baths only for a month because I had an uplift, no strapping, breast band for 4 wks.

It should be on ur notes u received when u were discharged. Fx

I was only allowed shallow baths for 2 weeks. Then a shower after 2 weeks x

I had shallow baths for a week, then after my post op, my incisions had healed well so I can now shower and I’m only 8DPO. It all depends on how you heal. You will have to have baths to start off with because you can’t get your incisions or dressings wet, you nurse will tell you at your post op if you can start showering XX

I was told to do washes first week, shallow bath week after and then showers after 2 weeks xx
