Hi I’m really worried I’m booked to have ba on the 23rd July but I’m starting to panic about how long it will be till I would be able to do things for my little boy he is 17 months and such a mummy’s boy. Anyone who’s been through this please share some advice xxx

I’m in the same position I have a 1 year old who’s attached to my hip 🙂 .. I think you will need help for about a week if your having unders it will be a little more painful and difficult x

Hi girls I’m 5 weeks PO had 450 unders and I have a 11 month old and a 7 year old, I’d say you need total help for at least a week but very very limited lifting for a good few weeks, they say to wait 6 weeks for healing .. I’ve just started lifting her more now, day 3 PO was by far the worst for me but apart from that I felt great If you need to know anything else just ask xx

I had unders 13 days ago. The first week u wil defo need help. Day 2 was agony for me. My little girls is 15months & accidently smacked my purse full of change off my chest. Actually took my breathe away!! The first 3 days were hard but after that i done everything for her. Now im hardly in any pain at all. Unders are worse aswel apparantly so u should be ok after a few days depending on ur pain threshold. Xx

I had unders, I have a 2 year old and a 4 month old. I really struggled and couldn’t do a thing for myself for the 1st week. The 2nd week I was a lot better but still couldn’t lift either of them. I’d say you deffinately need help for the first week and to still be as careful as you can after that. But if you have overs I think it’s less painful and a quicker recovery x

I had mine done on Tuesday and I have 2 older children 6 and 7 and an 18month old little girl. I feel awful that I can’t pick her up she has stayed at her nanans house since I have had it done because I feel shit and I can’t do anything with her anyway. I keep going round to spend time with her but I’m terrified of getting hurt xxx

I’m also thinking of the same! Have my first consultation later on this evening and was wondering what the recovery will be like. I have a 3 year old who’s very independent and won’t need my help and will actually be able to help with my 9 month old. Only problem is she obvs won’t be able to get her in and out of the cot. So has anyone actually managed to lift their 9 month old or so baby? My partner is self employed so arranging time off is difficult as he will lose out on money. And anyone else than can help are all employed full time and I definitely wouldn’t even ask for them to take time off. I’m back at work from maternity leave end of Feb so hoping I could maybe get it done this month!

Anyone know what the nearest available dates where when you booked? X
