Being messed around

Hi all,

Literally had such a mare with MYA the last few months. Booked my op at the start of lockdown, but have been messed around so much constantly being told different things, I had asthma when I was a baby but MYA told me it was a problem. They asked me to get a letter from the doctors which I did.. now just been told its not being accepted and my op is cancelled as the surgeon is not happy to operate (my op was in 3 weeks).

I have just asked for a full refund and now desperate to go elsewhere. Does anyone have any recommendations on good surgeons or places to go to? X

Hi amber, they did exactly the same to me. Wasn’t great to deal with and refused my surgery after taking my money, they knew I had a health condition when I booked and paid and then have cancelled it.

They still owe me all my money I paid in April, my refund takes 90 days so will be due in November so I will wait and hope that I do actually get it back. It’s just a shame because it you don’t have alternative funds it means waiting another 3 months to re book elsewhere.

I’ve since had my surgery with another company if you PM me I can give you some more info. Sorry you’ve been messaged about cause it’s so disheartening but things will work out I know loads of girls with asthma who have now had their surgeries xx

Hi girls, I’m new to this and not posted anything until now. I’ve been doing loads of reading from other people’s post which had been a great reassurance to me. I am not a mya patient but I’m 1 week P.O I have asthma and take inhalers daily and it wasn’t a problem regarding surgery. I also take anti depressants . I was asked for a letter from my G.P regarding anti depressants but never asthma. They didn’t get the letter back from my G.P in time for my operation but were still happy to go ahead. I can’t imagine your disappointment. I hope you get something sorted soon x

I went with transform and I can’t fault them. They have read lot of negative reviews beforehand when I was doing my research but I still choose them to find out for myself cus everyone has different views. I am 100% happy with everything from start to finish even tho it’s still early days for me : ) x

I used Mya for my first op and then went to dr Frati direct for my second . Recommend Frati

I have now booked with Dr Frati through transform, managed to get me the exact same surgery date that I was meant to have with MYA! So excited now!! X
