I just wanted to put this out there incase there is anyone like me trying to decide whether or not to do it.
I can honestly say it’s the best decision I’ve ever made.
Every person I spoke with on my Mya journey have been so lovely and feel like friends.
I had Rum as my coordinator as she has been amazing the whole way through. Always there for me to ask any questions I had, was thorough with the whole process and always checking in to see how I was.
My Surgeon Dr Anna De Leo, I owe so much to her. She was thorough, listened to me and always put me at ease. Seeing her work made me so excited.
I had my surgery at The Welbeck Hospital on Friday and I cannot fault the whole process. It was calm and everyone made me feel at ease and relaxed. The anesthetist was friendly and talked me through everything, Shadi so caring and thorough and my nurse Esther who cared for me all night was so gentle, made sure I was comfortable and looked after me so well. My surgery went so well, I saw Dr Anna before and after my surgery and then the morning after and she is just amazing. I am now day 5 post op and I feel on cloud 9. The pain has eased daily and I feel amazing. It is important that you rest after surgery and to listen to all the advice given. I am very lucky my partner and mum have supported me at home. I am already excited to see my nurse Nikki on Monday to change my dressings and she has also been fab.
For me, it took me 10 years to do this and my only regret is I wish I’d done it sooner.
The service from Mya has been amazing and I cannot recommend them enough. Your all angels from above 💞
