Bumped this up to the top,its really good info for new members, when I speak to them for the first time, Im recommending they read this when they join.xxx
If u have sensitive skin/nipples I found a slightly padded sports bra good (tesco £6) My cardi/top over my bra would even make my nipples sore. Xx
***please add more tips to me please and keep me on the first page***
Take pictures to your consultation with your surgeon of the look you would like-topless photos not bikini/lingerie and preferably of other surgery results and women of a similar build/pre-op tissue (there are LOADS at http://www.loveyourlook.com but remember it’s an American site so their implants are slightly different-I think ‘moderate plus profile’ is similar to ‘high profile’). This is clearer than a description as people mean very different things by the same word e.g. ‘natural’!
Use a surgery morph tool to modify a picture of your own breasts to roughly the shape/size that you would like. I used:
http://www.bodysculptor.com/surgery-morph-chicago/
Of course it’s not perfect and can make your arms and other parts distorted (and I covered up my nips in paint as it made them go crazy shaped!) but at least it gives a rough idea.
Consultations can be very quick and it can be intimidating to speak firmly and clearly so if you have pictures it’s a lot easier to get your point across!
Here are links to the Natrelle INSPIRA catalogue (for moderate, extra high profile and teardrop/anatomical implants). MYA can order any of the implants but surgeons may not agree to use all of them (e.g. some won’t do teardop/anatomical):
This is the CUI catalogue. MYA offer Low or High Profile implants as included within the price-these are the standard implants you would receive with MYA:
Just had my pre-op mtg with Helena and the Bible certanly helped me, thanks girlies, if I have any tips will update xx
Bumped this up to the top as I think that new members will gain valuable tips from this bible, tried to post some post op info, but the info was too long.
THE UNDER/OVERS/PARTIALS ISSUE
i know this issue brings many problems for some girls so here is some help:
unders – these are usually partials… surgeons always call them unders when infact they are partials. the first layer of your muscle (u have three layers) is cut from the other two, and the implant is placed underneath that layer. u can therefore not see the rounded part of the implant, u can also feel the bottom of the implant where the muscle doesnt cover,
full unders are where the whole chest muscle is cut from the chest wall and the implant is placed under all three parts. meaning the implant is fully enclosed by muscle and u cant feel any implant. this kind of surgery is mainly used for re constructive surgery and also gender change surgery – not for normal day to day cosmetic surgery I,E what we are getting.
the type of unders we get are in fact called partials as the name suggests u can partially feel the implant at the bottom, this has a six week recovery rate and not a long complicated op.
full unders take a lot longer to heal and also a much more longer complex op!
Overs- these are placed into ur breast tissue. and usually give the more rounded look. dependant on what amount of breast tissue u have to start with.
Natural look – if u have small amount of breast tissue, unders are more natural, however if u have a large amount the overs tend to give a more natural look.
From looking at ur pics i think u maybe offered overs as u have quite a bit tissue hun.

I love this bible !!
HORSE RIDING = Surgeons usually suggest 3 months before you can start again, due to the strain on the muscles and the possibility that the horse may pull. Some girls have started back as soon as one month later, with a VERY good sports bra and help to get on and off.
AFRICAN DRUMMING (Probably not applicable to most of you but it might be to someone lol) = Surgeon said you can start again after 3 weeks but take it easy.
JOGGING = 3 weeks with a good sports bra.
LIGHT GYM = 3 weeks with a good sports bra.
lol african drumming really made me smile, brings back some memories from holidays to the gambia! true though there maybe some african drummers on here!
I think once ive had my OP il be to scared to move il be walking around like a robot! xx

Lots of girls say no pain but be prepared for pain. We are all different. Also plan for post operative nausea and vomiting. The general anaesthetic has quite a few side effects. Itchiness. Nausea. Vomiting. Sore throat. For a day or two. Ask about pain management prior to leaving hospital so you re not left anxious and unsure. Invest in a memory foam v pillow. You are going to be uncomfortBle in bed for a good few nights. No housework or driving. Hv a tv in your bedroom. X
Your not allowed anything metal in the theatre, so remove all piercings and bobby clips and this even means your scrunchie with that tiny metal bar on it. i went in with my hair a dishevelled mess and came out looking a hot dishevelled mess lol!! then had to endure my brother trying to tie it back up for me afterwards, which was so much fun!!
also bring lots of things to keep you occupied, time seems to slow down when your waiting for your new babies.
and always buy your sports bras with bigger backs then what you usually are, due to the swelling. it is unbearable to have a bra that sits too tight on your incisions x
