Re-posted from my bra thread-
POST OP/ SPORTS BRAS
I’ve seen loads of threads lately asking about what bra to get for after a BA, what size, how tight should it be, and so on. So Here’s a run down of the most popular choices for post op bras:
MACOM – does up at the front, you can make it as tight or loose as you need, has no seams & goes down below your scars & above your boobs so it’s more comfortable than normal sports or surgery bras. Only need to buy one size (your normal back size) as it has expandable cups to fit whilst you’re swollen and after as well.
Buy it from https://www.macom-medical.com/products-40-breast_augmentation_surgical_bra.html (code 1007 is the one most girls have). Put “mybreast” in the discount code box for 15% off. You can also get it cheaper on ebay or on here if someone is selling second hand. This bra is the best of the choices though won’t win you any beauty contests Definitely worth the money. Buy 2 so you can wash & wear.
ASDA, M&S, TESCO all do post surgery bras. The M&S are more popular and tend to fit better, but lots of girls have said Asda & tesco are also very good.
AFTER 6 WEEKS
After your 6 week check I highly advise you get a high impact SHOCK ABSORBER bra, they are absolutely brilliant and I slept in mine, sometimes using it interchageably with the macom until i was comfortable enough to start wearing normal bras again. It’s also the best I’ve found for gym, and anything high impact like horse riding, running, and dance.
FITTING
Your post surgery bra should fit well, otherwise it will do more harm than good. It should be supportive and feel tight but not too uncomfortable. If you take it with you to your first check up with the nurse they will show you how it’s supposed to fit, and shops will also fit them for you just like a normal bra. With the MaCom you just buy the size that corresponds to your normal back size. With the others you might want to get a couple of sizes (what you expect to be, and a size bigger than that to account for swelling).
From rainbowdrops8080 – M&S front zip up sports bra is brilliant really supportive and my friend used after 1st 2weeks and it helped push hers together as they were far apart and now she can get a fab cleavage now
Also great for the gym –
Also this post surgery bra from M&S is comfy and I found it more comfy than my Macom
And it’s 1/2 the price –
From nicola8 – Royce bras are amazing, the X static one has silver in it to aid healing and it is the comfiest thing ever- longline too so it doesn’t rub against my dressings. 100% recommended!
From bex123 – ive got one of these and its so comfy…gives really good support to the sides but lets you breath a bit at the front!
Ok girls, this has fallen to page 5 on threads, and i have found this the most useful post and an excellent read, so thank you George85 for creating this…and BUMPTY BUMP BUMP BUMP!!! XZ

Book to have your hair washed in a local salon a few days po and then a week po! I have long hair and dread to think what it will be like after a week with no washing so I figured if I book into a salon and literally JUST have it washed it’ll be cheap and it’ll give me a chance to walk down the road to the salon, get moving to loosen up and get some air! Plus this salon is charging me just £4 for a wash (was a bit odd asking them on the phone the cost of JUST a wash and no blow dry and asking what type of seats/ basin arrangements they had haha!) The salon i’ve booked into have the lean back chairs and adjustible basins. Then my mum can dry it at home for me I always feel better with clean hair
finding this very useful
Hello lady’s new here but I’ve had complications and this was my 3rd time around so I was well prepared. What I thought was good is a over bed table like the hospital ones have only with a tilt on it for when u get home for your laptop,iPad, drinks, mags, meds.
just so they are easy to reach and not a lot of up or down or stretching I have found mine fantastic. If you want the to know more I will give you the link as they are on sale at the moment from 49.99 to 37.99 but what a handy thing to have. also come with a part that keeps upright so no moving things around. Thanx for having time to read x
