Awww hun, I know exactly how you feel!! I wanted to be up and about doing everything as soon as I could, but seriously try to take things easy, its frustrating because your mind is fine, its just your body will restrict you!! I had to go back to work 3 days afterwards, and working at Next is very demanding!! Especially because it was the Next Mid-Season sale, and sale times are always mad! Looking back now I wish I had rested, but it was either rest up or get sacked!!! That’s how Next is!

Seriously though hun, you will be feeling fantastic soon!!!! I absolutely love my new boobs, just really excited about christmas and buying new bras! hehe

    Take care hunnie

Hey weeze, I felt the same as you, but I think I managed to shave my armpits on day 4?? Can you hold your elbows up as if you were a chicken?? I know that sounds really weird, but thats what I did, just held my arms at should level! or, bend forward a bit, and round your shoulders over so you can get underneath your pits??? not sure if that helps hun!

    Happy healing!

Hi, just a really random question, I’m almost a week post op and wondering how anyone else managed to shave their armpits? I’ve resorted to dilapatory cream, but its not 100% and I still have my plaster/bandages on for another day! I feel gross! any advice? lol, sorry!

Hi girls, i’m 5 days post op now, just walked to the shop which is literally 5mins walk usually, had to phone my boyfriend when i was on way back through panic…

Found it really hard to breathe, my chest has gone really really tight and had shooting pains all arund my boobs…maybe i shouldnt have gone, but thought after 5 days i should be ok!

So to you post op girls, dont over do it, and take it really easy…

Just spoken to my PC and she’s speaking to nurse, waiting for a call back from the nurse now, everythings prob fine but i just want reassurance really, not sure if that shouldve happened or not! xx

Awwww Sara, it’s so easy to over do it, and not realise it. I did nothing at all for 6 days, and only went out of the house on day 7 to go back to London for my nurse check-up. The round trip was over 5 hours, and i felt every bump in the road! But, by the following day (day 8) i drove my car and went into work and felt fine.
Might have just been a bit too soon to go for a walk. Once you get passed your first week, everything starts to feel so much better. Just a few more days now  xx

thanks hun…i am a worrier anyway which doesnt help! lol worry over the slightest thing…at least my mind has been put at rest a bit now…i’m obviously one of them that will prob take a bit longer to recover, not really a bad thing. Nurse said your only 5 days post op and should be going easy, i think i just assumed 5 days is quite a while and i should be feeling okish in myself, but no! lol x x

That is relieving.. I’m really glad your fine

Arr bless ya, thanks hun, just spoken to nurse, i’m ok, she said it sounds like i had a panic attack :( dont know why tough, prob went out too soon and over done it. Said what i’m feelin is quite normal and just to rest and take things easy…which i will now x x

Woo OMG… I hope your alright. Probably its just because its a new weight on your chest that your lung and body is not yet completely used to it yet.. Please tell us what the nurse says.. I just pray you are fine.;)
