Blood test

Hi girls ,
I got a text from mya today asking me to confirm my sickle cell test and if I want it done in the clinic , I don’t have this problem … Is a blood test just standard procedure ? I have Dr frati.

I never had to have a blood test, I don’t think it’s a standard thing but I was at the Manchester clinic xx

Hi , at my pre operation assessment I was told to have a blood test for sickle cell , which I’ have booked at my GP surgery for Monday 25th January . When my daughter was a baby she had her check ups and they found out my daughter is a sickle cell carrier . I also had bloods taken while I was pregnant and it came back negative to sickle cell – it was discovered that my daughters dad is a carrier of sickle cell . I assume Mya are just being careful and they want us to obtain GP letter to confirm whether we have sickle cell or not .

I had this test done at my pre op. I had to pay the £28. Though i know i had it done years back but i didn’t want to risk delaying my surgery so i just redone it with them.

I didn’t have any blood tests done. Again I was at the Manchester clinic though. I just had swabs done. Xxx

I had a blood test at pre op? Is that what they were testing me for? I didn’t even think to ask xx

I had to have bloods done, nurse told me it was because my Bmi was slightly underweight, hope this helps 🙂 xx

I phoned them today they think they sent the text to the wrong person lol as this is very random with no health concerns I will probably just have to have a “normal” blood test , if you don’t mind me asking what was your bmi Georgia :)? Xxx
