Blood tests

Just wondering weather you definitely have to have blood tests done before your op? I had my pre op Saturday before I met with my surgeon. The nurse said she wasn’t sure if I needed bloods so she would wait until Id met my surgeon and see what he says but he never mentioned anything and I totally forgot about it until I got home! Has anyone had their op without bloods? X

It’s down to wether the surgeon wants them done. I didn’t need mine done x

I think you only need them taking if you mention something to the surgeon that they feel may affect your surgery. I had to have mine taken as I told him I had low platelets so they needed to make sure they weren’t so low I could bleed out (they aren’t lol). If you query with your PC I’m sure they will check with your surgeon for you chick. Xx
