Soo I had my BA yesterday at Droitwich with Dr.Shivione! As I live 3 hours away I stayed in the travelodge on Thursday and last night – I was a day case. My admission time was 10am but as me and mum was up so early we got there at 8.30! I was shown to my room straight away which was lovely. I then had to put my gown and disposable knickers on straight away, the surgeon came in first at around 9ish to draw on me and take photos, signed a few bits of paperwork and we went over what size implants I wanted – I took a few pictures to show him of what I was aiming for so he was sure as to what I wanted – this really helped him and he said that 445 trm would be the one he would go for as I was aiming for a good cleavage! He said i would be going down at about half 1. Once he left I was still super excited, no nerves! The anethiatist then came in and asked me a few questions and told me what would happen when I was being put to sleep – this is the only part I was nervous about. Once he left the nurse came in and took my blood pressure and asked a few more questions – she was such a lovely lady and put me at ease, at this point I had a few tears as I was getting more nervous about being put to sleep! She then left and me and mum just watched tele and read magazines, at 12 the nurse came in and said they were ready for me! Which was good as I didn’t have time to panic as I was expecting to go down at half 1! As I was scared about being put to sleep they allowed my mum to stay with me until I was out which was lovely of them, I went down to the anethiatist room and laid on the bed, the surgeon was in there at this point, they too my blood pressure again then put that needle thing in my hand – this didn’t hurt one little bit, didn’t even feel it go in! They then put two syringes of painkiller in my hand which I thought was the sleepy stuff! I was a bit teary and shaking before it went in but it proper chilled me out and calmed me down so I thought it was the anesthetic! He then told me he was putting the sleepy stuff in and I don’t remember a thing after that! Apparently I was saying ‘yay big titties’ how embarrassing! I got put to sleep at 12 and was jn recovery at 1:10. i then woke up in recovery and felt fine just sleepy, the lady put a hot air pipe into my bed which Was lovely – it just keeps you warm as most people shiver when they come round – I didn’t feel cold at all. I asked how it went and my lovely nurse came to get me as soon as I woke up, she held my hand and told me everything had gone perfectly. I couldn’t look st them yet but could touch them and they felt big! I then got wheeled back to my room at 1:45 on my bed to see my mum. Didn’t have much pain my chest just felt really heavy, the nurse and mum then helped me to put my sports bra on – I was a 34b post op and am now in a 34e sports bra, I had unders. I then laid back and just rested my eyes for 5 minutes, after that I had something to eat and drink. They put these blood pressure things on my legs which kept blowing up every few minutes, was the most annoying things ever! Made my legs really hot! The nurse came in every hour or so to check my pulse and blood pressure. I went for a pee at around 6ish which was hard, my chest felt so tight! The surgeon came in after that and had a look at them, he said he was really happy with them snd that they should turn out exactly how i want them yay! The drains have to be in for 6 hours so they got removed at 8! This was absolutely fine, I wasn’t looking forward to it as everyone says its horrible but I honestly didn’t feel a thing! They are so tiny and it took a split second for each to come out – nothing to worry about! After that they said I could go, I stood up to go but suddenly felt boiling, sick and faint. I sat on the chair and the nurse came in and told me to get back into bed for 5 minutes. I drank a bottle of water and the nurse put the fan on me to cool me down. At around 8:30 I then stood up and felt ok, mum walked me to the car and we made our way back to the hotel. The worst part so far was last night sleeping, I felt so helpless and uncomfortable during the night, my back was hurting and I got a little teary at 2, the painkillers are supposed to start the day after surgery but mum gave me one during the night which was fantastic! She laid me down and I then fell asleep till 7, they are brilliant! We left the travelodge at 8 and made are way home. Am now home and feel ok, it’s painful if I stay laid down for too long, I feel better if I’m walking around the house. Just had a few hours sleep and now watching tv. It’s really not painful, just quite uncomfortable and I hate not being able to sit myself up, this is the hardest bit as mum has to help me. Overall I can say it has been such an amazing experience, being put to sleep was intact the easiest part! Nothing to worry about! Can’t upload pics ATM as its not working but as soon as I can I will, absolutely love them already and they still have so much changing to do! If anyone has questions ask away xxxxx
Hi Katrina,
I was at Droitwich yesterday! I was the first down with Schiavone! This made me smile reading this as I forgot about things like that hot blower when you come round from surgery! Pleased to hear everything went well for you :)!! I had 385/415 overs, round natrelles! I absolutely love them already :)!
Happy healing Hun! Xx
Yeah, I thought he was a really nice guy! As we were walking into the anesthetists room (he was waiting in the ward corridor for me) I was like ‘now you remember Mr Schiavone, nice neat stitching please!!!’ He laughed and promised he would.. So I hope he’s stuck to his promise :)!
I know, ditto – I’ve take. Pictures and I keep looking at them on my phone like ‘omg, they’re actually MY boobs!’ Haha!
I was thinking the same – it’s mixed answers in here isn’t it but the MYA nurse rang me today to see how I was and she said that its best to wait until your week check up… So I think I’m going to do that. To be honest, my boobs aren’t that tight/hard. My right is more sore/ firm than my left as I had a bigger implant in it! Xx
@jackie yeah same as me, he said he would give me a good cleavage haha! Nuts isn’t it, we have boobs yay! Yeah think Ill wait till week check up and see what she says, mines soft to touch but its just the inside that feels tight, the skin is so soft and shiny! Haven’t spoke to mya nurse yet, it’s good that she’s rang you 🙂 xxx
Aw I’m so happy for both of you! I’ve got my op on 24th at drotwich with dr schiavone! So glad you’ve both had a fab experience!! I now can’t wait!! 10 days to go!! xxx
Haha, yeah – same, it looks like I’ve got oil on them :)! Have you been taking the co-codamol they gave you? I haven’t had any yet, just paracetamols, but I’m a little more tender this ever so I may have some!
Yeah, she was lovely :)! Xx
Glad 2 hear it went well hun 🙂
This is so good to read, thanks for sharing your experience! I have Dr Schiavone on 9th November so it’s great to read stuff like this 🙂 also really glad everything went well for you and I just laughed so much at the part where you were saying “yay big titties” hahaha! xx
@lauren helps so much doesn’t it! Loved reading them before mine! He’s literally amazing! Has given me completely what I asked for, 12 days post op now and am so happy! Hahah I don’t remember saying it at all! Everyone was laughing when I woke up haha! Any questions then just message me , good luck!! Xxx
Yeah – really is so helpful and helps put your mind at ease! Aww that’s so good to hear, gives me a bit more confidence! So glad you’re happy and hope you’re recovering and healing well! Hahaha at least you made everyone laugh 😛 aww thanks so much. I actually phoned MYA today as I’ve not heard anything really since I paid my deposit – they told me that Dr Schiavone is being made redundant from December so doesn’t have many appointments now – this is just making me stress out in case my op gets cancelled! I was nervous before but this has made it worse! haha! Slightly reassuring that you had your op with him recently though 🙂 xx
