Booked in – how do I prepare?

Hi all,
After many many years thinking about it, I met with Dr Marcellino today and booked in for a reduction on 29th Feb in London. So excited and terrified!
After any advice on how to get ready and prepare for it – what do I need, top tips etc?
Also if anyone has before/after pics they don’t mind sharing?
Last q for now – did your surgeons offer how small you could go and did you go with the larger or smaller end of that? He said a D would be realistic, but could try for C. As a G now the smaller the better for me.

I think a D is a good choice of size. It’s not too big and it’s not too small.
I went from a JJ to a DD in September 2014.

Best ways to be prepared:
– Buy Macom bras for your recovery, they’re the best kind because they adjust to whatever your cup size is.
– Dry shampoo
– Button up tops, you won’t be able to lift things over your head for a bit.
– Take the surgeons and nurses advise, you won’t regret it.
– Don’t do too much too soon, rest is vital.

Is it any style of Macom in particular? Also how long will I need to be in them for as opposed to a normal sports bra which may be cheaper? Just working out how many I need.
Also in terms of recovery, is a week realistic for resting and then back to work but taking it easy?

A week isn’t realistic, they advise two and I recommend you take two weeks off. At the time I worked in retail and after two weeks I wasn’t ready to go back, I ended up taking three weeks off and then I went back on restricted duties.

I brought my Macom bras on ebay so it’s worth looking on there. I had two. I used mine for a long time, they were handy because of swelling, it takes longer to go down with reductions compared to enlargements. They’re worth the money and you can sell them after. I sold both of mine to someone on here.

How long before putting on normal clothes doesn’t hurt?

Goodluck and trust me you will not regret it. Be prepared for when you wake up because you won’t be in much pain BUT like me you might lose your balance lol. It’s the best decision I ever made in my life.
*Dont forget your mycom bra
* Take plenty of post op rest
* Take them painkillers
*Wear loose clothing

Also Dani, my surgeon gave me a rough idea and said he will go from a 34H down to a 34DD. When I woke up and for a couple of months post op I was quite flat chested but all of a sudden they settled and I was a healthy 34DD/E. So don’t freak out when you wake up and look like a boy. X

I am going in on Monday and starting to get very scared!

How long before you could wear normal clothes, move your arms around etc? I have 2 young kids and my own business so getting worried about how long I will be out of action for.
