So I really really want to have a fitting to see what size I am at the moment, im nearly three weeks po, how long til after your ba did you wait?

I thought I was a 36c at the moment but read somewhere its very unlikely I’d be a 36 being a size ten and would love to have a fitting as I’ve never had one before. Any advice would be great 🙂 xx

Just measure right under your bust in inches and that’s exactly your back size, you don’t need to add any inches unless it’s an uneven number then you give or take an inch xx

Siobhan… Do u not add like 4 or 5 inches. As I measure 27 around and I normally wear a size 32 . Currently in a size 34 sports bra

Some companies may still do it that way but, it’s supposed to be an old method. I measure exactly 30 inches and wear a 30 or 32 band depending on how the bra is made. That’s not just me saying that by the way it’s how I was measured at multiple shops. In boux avenue the girl told me you don’t needed to add inches as a bra has ‘give’ whereas a tape measure doesn’t xx

P.s I wore a 34 band pre op and bras never fit right. Since having the implants I’ve tried 34 in different sizes and even if the cup fitted the band would sag is the middle xx

I was told about the 4 inch added on rule and it seem too work. My back meassure a 29 I’ll never fit a 30 or 32. Also my surgeon said you need to be lose on back. Tight on cup and bra strap. Or you’ll be complaining of pain in a years time. 🙂

That’s not true at all, the support comes from the band and is the most important part to get right, also adding inches is an old method so maybe that’s the surgeons age showing. You need a bigger band for swelling so maybe that’s what he meant? I trust the surgeon to give me the right advise on my implants but they’re not trained to do bra fittings xx

Im 28 under bust and add 4 and wear 32 back size.

I got measured at La Senza at 4.5 weeks and measured 32DD. Got measured at 5.5 weeks at m&s and measuring 32DD there as well.

Well that’s weird because my 30 back bras fit me no problem, although I did say different places measure differently. M&s measure me as 32 but I think that’s only because they didn’t have bras in my size. It’s all about making the sale 🙂

I agree with Siobhan this is the method I have been measured with. I think often people wear far too wider bands. I’ve been measured many times and always wear a 30 now. Felt tight at first when I first got measured as was used to a 34 but once you get used to a proper fitting bra you realise how much more support you get

Yeah you get used to the snugness. Adding 4 definitely doesn’t work for me and can see the band hangs off me in anything bigger than a 32 xx

I have worn a 34 forever and only just got measured as a 30! I had no idea how sort of tight bras were supposed to be, straps included! But now I’m wearing a 30 I can tell the difference in support and it feels so much better!! Hard to get a 30 in most shops though xx

It’s a pain being under a 34 back, companies need to learn that there’s more girls with small backs than they realise xx

Girls who had the new measurement – how many inches on top of your band size is your cup size? By this method I’d be a 30 back, but my bust is 36 inches.. anyone got any links to new style bra calculators? Online ones always seem to add on the extra band inches. Just curious.. not convinced I’d even be able to do up a 30 band but interested to try on and see!

No wait my measurements are 28/36.. so I’d be a 28 back by this method? I usually wear 34s too! My mind is confused. Sorry for the tangent, just interested! xx

India I bought 3 bras from La Senza, they are expensive but well worth money, they are gorgeous and fit lovely. Got sum pics up of W2 of em from la senza.

I’m not sure jenni and I never trust online calculators as they always seem to be wrong. I’d wait to get measured properly if I was you. I never thought a 30 band would fit me either to be honest, they feel a bit tight at first and sometimes I wear 32s, mainly because they’re any easier size to find haha xx
