    Hello,

I have a breast augmentation and mastopexy a week today…yay!

Do any of you ladies have any bras to recommend to me please for post op?

AND any other little tips you can give me, as I am very nervous right now

I hated macom felt like they did nothing, Just a good sports bra with zip front I got one from sports direct £10 and it feels so secure ! V pillow is well!

I have both a macom and the M&S zip up sports bra. I found the macom doesn’t cover me very well so I asked my nurse at a post-op about it and she said that if you’re bigger than a D then they’re not as good but it still somewhat supports me, I personally favour the M&S ones as they properly cover and support me.

The one thing I’d definitely recommend you get is a travel pillow! I couldn’t have gotten through recovery without it. I use mine on the sofa to help support my neck as you tend to only be able to sit in one position and it helps. It’s also amazing for when you have to sleep upright. 1000% recommend. Primark do cheap ones but make sure it’s the cushiony one and not the one filled with beans! Good luck for your op and recovery xx

I got the shock absorber D+ my surgeon said it was one of the best ones he’s seen. He also told me to get a back fastening bra, with adjustable straps. I’m not with mya tho and I know every surgeon has their own preferences.
They almost all recommend to buy a back size up to what you wear pre op.
I love my shock absorbers but I also got the M&S high impact sports bras. 2 pack for £29.95 they are comfy although I don’t feel like they support me the same as my shock absorbers.
I would defo recommend you get a v pillow! Mine is my best friend lol… and has been a god send for when you have to sleep at an angle… in fact I still use mine and I’m 4wpo today.
Good luck with your surgery xx
