    Hi girls.
I am 12 days post op and feeling good ! It’s been a painful experience as I had unders, but there’s light at the end of the tunnel and I love my new boobs. My partner has gone back to work now after having the first week off with me unfortunately he works away and we have a 2 year old boy. Last night he fell asleep in my bed after his story which is our usual bedtime routine but I know you can’t really lift so I left him in bed with me which was a nightmare as he kicks you all night and sprawls across the bed. I also need to lift him in and out of the bath. Am I allowed to do this yet ? Because it’s hard having to try and get someone to come to my house for bath time and then bedtime to Do all the lifting

Hi! No don’t lift him, you should avoid anything above 5kg for 6 weeks po which is about the weight of a baby. The reason is you are still healing and it will cause muscle damage and fluid build up around the implant, later leading to problems. The implant also need to form a capsule around it, too much movement before can make it displace. That happened to one of my friends where her implant flipped and she had to get it corrected

If he falls asleep in your bed and you’re worried about being kicked, consider sleeping in his room!
Also with regards to the bath have you got a step he can use to climb in and out?

Hi Georgia, I am three weeks post surgery today and I also have a two year old and also a 8 month old baby. I’ve been lifting them both since two weeks post surgery. I am listening to my body etc and it feels fine, just trying to limit lifting when possible. We moved into our parents house for the first two weeks so I didn’t lift at all. That’s not realistic for 6 weeks. Hopefully everything will be fine. I had unders too ? xxx

I have a 3 children, my youngest is 2. I was able to lift her carefully in and out the cot and car seat after 3 weeks and fully back to to lifting after 4 weeks. I had overs. It’s so hard with little ones, you have no option! I lifted with my arms and also my foot into the car seat and got her to climb in as much as poss but there are times you have to lift them! Good luck hun x

This is my worry too!! I’m looking at booking my first consultation in the next couple of weeks and I am a single parent of a 3 year old so it’s the 1 thing that’s holding me back! Xxx

Thank you girls for the advice, luckily my parents have been a massive help and when he’s been falling asleep in my bed one of them have been coming down to put him in his own bed. His dad is back on Friday thankfully. It is defiantly hard as there’s a few times I’ve gone to lift him for things but had to stop myself and think of another way aha xxx
