Hi ladies
I’ve commented on other posts, but thought I’d put my own in a separate post because there isn’t a lot of recent updates out there for woman considering this. I struggled when I was researching mine!
I had my surgery on 24th July 2020. Not with Mya. I went for consultations back in February before lockdown.
At my consultation with the surgeon, he examined me, told me he could get me the size I wanted (down 11 cup sizes if I counted right). His, I booked straight away. £500 deposit, total cost £7250, which I took a loan out for.
I was booked in for 11.30am. Straight away, my surgeon came for me and took me to be marked up. Next I met anaesthetist, who explained again that I would be under heavy sedation (fentanyl, propofol, midazolam) and local anaesthetic. Signed my life away, jumped up on the table, cannula in the hand. He chatted softly to me, next thing I was waking up in recovery.
The surgery was meant to take 2 hours but took almost 4 because of the amount taken away. My sugreon took over 1kg from each breast, 2.5kg in all. I went from a size 34jj to a 34c/d. I’m absolutely delighted with the results. Discharged and home for around 6pm.
The pain – it’s bloody sore. I woke up and asked the nurse if my tits were on fire. They obv weren’t but it felt like burning! They are still sore today, but the pain eases everyday. The tightness is very annoying!
Recovery- v cushion, ice packs, painkillers, comfy clothes. Have someone with you for the first few days at least.
Nurse gave me spare dressings to take home, I thought that meant I could change them. Don’t do it! I wasn’t supposed to, made an arse of it and had to go in so they could fix it. I’m not touching them again!
The post op blues will hit you like a brick. You’ll cry, wonder why you did this to yourself, want to throw things, and generally be an emotional pain in the ass for a day or so. It does pass, I promise. Power through!
Think that’s it. I’ll attach some of my photos. If anyone had any questions just ask!

4 weeks post op update!
Managed to get an infection that was penicillin resistant in the incision from the nipple to the under boob on my right boob. Never felt like I had an infection at all, and I’m normally pretty good at spotting infections. Right boob feels tighter than the left and is still a bit more swollen. Infection is away now but this one taking longer to heal on the surface.
Having bi weekly dressing changes and my surgeon has made sure he is there for each appointment. Such a fabulous man.
The feeling is coming back in them now, so right one feels stingy where the sore bit is, and I keep getting random pings in both of them as the nerves come back together.
Macom bras have bruised all my ribs 🙁 I must have a strange body shape as they kept rolling up. Macom kindly sent me one with a longer body free of charge, but it did the same. I have a few M&S ones now that are ideal (and a D cup eeeek)
I was driving from a week post op, life is pretty much getting back to normal now. I’m exercising again, although can’t lift weights for another few weeks. Just hoovered the living room!
I’m going shopping tomorrow for loads of clothes to fit my new figure, can’t wait!
I’ll get an updated pic Wednesday if the right one looks okay 👌🏻
Thank you so much for these! I’ve got mine in November and I’m getting sooo nervous. I’m a 34FF/G and want to go down to D/DD.
Do you have a recent update photo of what your breasts look like now? They look amazing!!! How much better do you feel?
I am having a reduction and uplift, I want to go for the full look xx
Thanks so much for this post! Do you have any more update pics? And how is the infection getting on?
Just to be clear do you live Anywhere near Glasgow? I was thinking for check ups etc. It make me worst for me to get to from the south west.
Hi ladies
Infection has cleared up now, just a bit red where the infection was but it is easing everyday. Yes I’m near Glasgow around 11 miles away, which has been handy as I’ve had bi-weekly checks due to the infection. Onto weekly now and hopefully be discharged soon.
Some more pics for you attached.
It’s bloody nerve wrecking and I’m not going to lie it’s painful. I read people on here saying they manage with paracetamol, I was on the good stuff for a few weeks. And I’ve had a LOT of surgery so I’m used to pain. It’s sore, really bloody sore, but is so so worth it.
In these ones u can see the red where it was infected. In the second pic where the wee open superficial wound is, it was like that over the full red bit so it’s really improved. It’s taking longer for me to heal because I’ve taken a double dunt of immunosuppressants over the years for Crohn’s disease. That shouldn’t happen to anyone healthy.
I’m wearing size 14 or 16 in tops now and 36D bras, never thought it was possible. So so worth it! My itty bitty titties
Kelly the surgery looks amazing and I hope it has boosted your self image x
Thank you Dannielle it really has 🙂 I’m wearing croptops and bralets and things I’d never dreamt of wearing. Should have done it years ago!
Had my last weekly check today! Back in 3 weeks for hopefully discharge!
I still have 2 small open bits at the anchor lines on each boob but very superficial. They’re covered now with gauze and medical tape because I’ve started getting reactions to all the dressings.
Still couldn’t be happier with the shape and size, my surgeon is a bloody genius
Hi your breasts look amazing. I’m considering having a breast reduction I’m currently a 34G/GG and w size 14 I hate them. Can I ask did you have a reduction and an impact?
Wow such a positive thread! Thankyou for sharing. Im currently on a weight loss mindset change to tackle my weight before I have surgery. I definitely want to reduce my 40ee boobs. Can I ask what would be your best advice?
