Hi emma, I’m 5 days post op and had to call the nurse yesterday as I was really struggling with my breathing. I’d taken my first trip out of the house, just to have a wander around the shops, but when I got home I was so breathless I was light headed and I thought I was going to pass out. She said it’s just due to the extra weight, plus tightness on your chest. I think it was also because I was so tense worrying that people were going to knock into me whilst I was out. I would give the nurse a call if you’re worried, but just try and sit up completely straight and take deep breaths, and don’t exert yourself too much! It’s a shock to the body and still early days! Hope you’re feeling better! x
