Bruising

Hey, I’m just over 3 weeks post op. When I had them done I obviously had a bit of bruising especially around the left boob. This disappeared last week but when I took my sports bra off this evening, the bruising is back and has gone all around the sides of my left boob and to the bottom. I’ve also noticed that my boob is quite hard around the bruising. Has anyone else experienced this? Xx

Yes I had hematoma and this is what mine appeared like I had to have it drained, you need to ring your clinic and booked an appointment with your nurse xx

Spoke to the nurse yesterday who then spoke to my surgeon. Now booked in to see him today. Does draining it hurt? Xx

That’s what happened to me, I saw nurse she then sent photos to surgeon who then said I had to drive london to see him, when I got there they said they are gona drain it, I’m not gona lie it was painful for me but I can’t take pain and he did give local anestatic. I then had the strapping put back on for 9days until I saw him again at my clinic. Which was Monday and he said their is still some swelling so need to wear tight sports bra, apply ice and rest. Then to monitor it and if it changes to ring the nurse. Yours might not need draining or have it but it’s better to be safe than sorry, I can’t wait for it all to be over and to be back to normal im 4 weeks post op xx

That sounds horrible! Sorry to hear you went through all that and hope you’re healing ok now! I saw him today and he said he doesn’t know why there’s swelling. He felt them both and decided to drain them just in case. That was quite painful lol especially where he grabs your boob really hard to get the fluid to come out lol. He now said I’m ok and nothing to worry about now xx

I think the way I was when he drained me he didn’t offer it me again lol I was in a lot of pain and yes the groping is horrid! Glad you have sorted it babe, I hope mine goes down dreading if I have to have it drained again xx

Yeah it’s not the best feeling in the world! Fingers crossed you don’t have to go through all that again Hun. Have you still got all the bruising then? Xx

The bruising is no where near as bad just a very faint green on the side and in the cleavage, before I had it drained it was blue and green and stood out, Iv just got monitor it and pc keeps ringing me every other day to check in with me. It still sits higher than my left and looks rounder but I think it is softer than it was. It’s so hard to monitor yourself when you see them everyday! Hope your recovery goes well babe xx
