Hi girls. I had my op on Monday and I’ve started getting twinges and almost like a constant burning sensation in my right boob. Is this normal? I’m worried about every little twinge especially in my right side as the nurse had a real problem getting the drain out of my right boob it made me cry 🙁 has anyone else had this?

It’s just your nerves knitting back together Hun. I had this and rang the emergency nurse and she told me that was what it was. It’s hard but try not to worry too much! And just rest up! Xxxx

They’re horrible aren’t they? It’s making me really paranoid I don’t want to do anything wrong. Putting ice on them seems to help.
I’m ok apart from the burning but that only came on about an hour ago and has eased off abit now. I woke up feeling abit better this morning and could move my arms a lot more freely. I slept on the sofa last night and I was so much more comfortable!
How are you feeling? We need to stop taking the co codamol after today don’t we?

I had this too in my right boob and yeah the nurse said the same thing as Hannah about it being the nerves repairing. Mine started on day 3 PO and only lasted a couple of days though! I wouldn’t worry too much! X x

I’m such a worrier too i get scared to do anything incase i do something wrong but then don’t want to do nothing and end up going stiff. I have been sleeping on sofa also been a lot better and easier to get up as its recliner. First thing waking up is pain though cause I don’t move much in my sleep. I can’t wait to be able to sleep on my side again haha. Erm not sure? I think youre not meant to take them more than 3 days because theyre addictive. Have you been taking arnica and ibuprofen? Xxx

Ive just been taking cocodamol arnica and my antibiotics but I’ve bought 500mg paracetamol and 400mg ibuprofen also. Probably going to start on the ibuprofen tomorrow and see how I get on, just have to make sure I eat with them. What about you? Xxx

It’s ok girls. Mine started the same as you Olivia , day 3 lasted a couple of days but it soon goes! I’m a massive worrier found this quiet stressful but it’s natural to feel like that! It’s a massive change and thing to go through. Just rest up as much as poss, not heavy lifting, plenty of rest! I’m really lucky my fiancé looked after me for two weeks so I got lots of rest he still does now obviously but I’m a lot more mobile. Enjoy duvet days and DVDs
