Calling all experienced post op's!!

I’m just wondering what happens for strapping and also what is a Macom?? Like do you get strapped up at hospital and then removed a week later? Is a Macom an alternative or is that just something that’s recommended for afterwards?

It all depends on your surgeons choice hun, I had Mr Traynor today and he doesn’t strap and you just wear your bra xxx

Heyy! Not all surgeons use strapping if you have it you don’t wear a sports bra until the strapping comes off! I had mr traynor so i didn’t have it and a macom is a type of sports bra…hope this helps 🙂 xxx

They also use chest bands but some like to use that nasty sticky tape they put round you xx

ahh thanks girls I’m so happy about that!! I have Traynor and I’d hate to be strapped for a Week! So what do i need, a sports bra or Macom would yous say? Xxx

Also just seen your comment there clarifying what a Macom was hahaha my bad, do I need an expensive one or can I just buy a normal sports bra?xxxx

My op was amazing! I was so nervous about the whole thing but everybody was absolutely amazing – literally could not fault them at all ? I’ve not got a Macom because they’re so expensive. I’ve just got one from asda, I think it was £6 and a lot of girls on here recommend them. I’ll post a pic of mine xx
