Can having the op affect your period

Hi I was due on my period the day of my op I still havn’t come on and don’t really no whats going on in normally on time every single month can the operation affect my period because im so comfused

Hello! I’m not 100% sure if the op has any impact but I know stress can cause you to be late even if you’re regular the op is a bit of a trauma for the body so maybe that could have induced some stress that even you might not notice but your body and hormones will! Xxx

Hiya yes it did mine by about a week.. not sure of the reasons but don’t worry , could be stress… meds ..i had read that it can often happen x

I dont know if it is the surgery or what, but i was supposed to get mine 2 weeks after my operation however i got it a week after the operation so it was like a week early and now i am 6 weeks post op and still didn’t get it yet so its a few days late. I’ve always had regular periods every 28 days exactly but now my hormones are so messed up one time a week early then the next time almost a week late and might even be longer
