Can I sleep without bra? 6 and half weeks post op..

Hi girls

I’m desperate to sleep without a bra!! I’m 7 weeks post on Friday! I have my check up tomorrow… Do you think I can sleep without a bra tonight? I know someone who hasn’t slept with her sports bra since 6th week! Any advice? Xxx

Chelsea I rang the out of hours number last night as I was a bit concerned over a red sort of rash that had appeared on one of my boobs, the nurse said to leave my bra off for a while and that it wouldn’t hurt for a few hours. I’m almost 5 weeks post op, surely you would be ok for 1 night? 🙂

When I had my 6 week check the nurse told me I didn’t have to wear a bra to bed. So ever since I haven’t and I feel so much better! Xx

I still have to wear my bra at 13 weeks po so I think it all depends x

I’m 4 weeks post op and saw my surgeon today, he said he’s happy for me to sleep without a bra now xx

I saw Mr kazzazi at 12 weeks he said then I coukd sleep with out bra if I wanted to. Personally I still sleep in bra want my boobs to stay where they are paranoid they will sag x

@beaksybird hey hun, i have a red blotch on one of my breasts near my nipple. Any idea what it is? Looks like a burst blood vessel xx

I am sure it should be ok to sleep without a bra hun. I am 5 weeks post-op and i sleep on my side without a bra a couple of nights a week. Xx

@lisalili Mine looked more like sunburn, I was convinced it was the start of an infection but after asking me several questions the nurse said it was unlikely and said it was just ski. Irritation. She said to moisturise it and leave my bra off for a few hours and sure enough the next morning it had calmed down, she also rang me the following morning to check how I was, pleased with the response from the out of hours service. Have you spoken to your nurse about it Lisa x:-)

I’m 6 weeks and had my check up yesterday, my nurse said to still sleep in my bra /: x

@beakysbird I have sent photos to my patient coordinator awaiting a reply hun. Mine doesn’t look like sunburn though more a blotch xx
