Speak to/See our surgeon before our 6 week post op Appt? xx

I want to as well can you let me know if you find out I’m really unhappy xx

You don’t see your surgeon at 6 weeks you see the nurse x

I saw my surgeon at 8 weeks but if you need to see him before I’m sure you can xx

6 – 10 weeks is when you see your surgeon again. You only see the nurse at the 1 week post op xxx

I always thought I’d see my surgeon at 6 weeks but its not, it’s 12 weeks when I asked at mya clinic. But yea if any probs I’m sure they would fit u in! X

I know Rachel I thought I would see him at 6 and wanted to because of spitting stitches, but I had to wait a couple more weeks which turned out well as I then got the okay to get out of my sports bra yay! 🙂 xx

Aww thank You ladies yea I was wondering if I could see him before the usual time that we are due to see him just to throw a few concerns/queries his way. I think I shall give MYA a call tomorrow or Monday to see if I can. @Kimberley Yea sure babe i’ll let you know as soon as I no anything 🙂 xx

I saw my nurse 1 week po then iv e got appt with nurse 6 weeks po then I think it’s surgeon at 12 weeks xx

I saw the nurse at my 1 weeks check for strapping removed, again at 6 weeks to check incisions healed nicely & can go swimming and use products on scars etc, then seeing surgeon at 12 weeks! So not sure if u can see him before but ring mya ask your nurse if any problems she can deal with them till u see the surgeon at 12 weeks! X

Really?? I called MYA today and she said didn’t actually confirm that i couldn’t see him before 6 weeks post op or even the 12 weeks when they schedule us to see them anyway, She just said the nurse was in today so I could speak to her but I said really what i want to discuss isn’t really something that the nurse can help me with, only the surgeon. So I said sod it i’ll just wait till the 3 months when I’m are due to see him xxx

12 weeks?! I wonder why some surgeons see us at 6 and others at 12? I guess it’s different like everything else to do with surgery lol, no-one seems to be the same 🙂 You okay though Laura? X

I know its strange and somewhat frustrating lol….Yea Not bad plodding along…. 😛 Such a long process ain’t it, and I’m soo bloody inpatient, How about you, You getting on OK? xx

I’m 8 weeks almost 9 now. It’s flown by!
The surgeon will advise but I think it’s normally 6-9 weeks. I’m glad I had the two extra weeks really as my incision opened up a wee bit at 5 weeks to spit a stitch so I know he would’ve said no to everything again then. I’ve read quite a few girls going for their 6week check and the surgeon saying two more weeks. That’s why I thought everyone had a 6week check xx
