Can we stay in hotels beforehand

My op is scheduled for 28th July at Preston First Trust. I was hoping to receive admission time today but didn’t.
I know that MYA guidance says you can’t stay in hotel before op due to covid but didn’t know whether this had changed due to restrictions easing? Is anyone else staying in a hotel before their Op?
I live over three hours away from Preston so I’m stressed I won’t get there in time 😩
