Can you have the op with a coil?

Hi girls,

I have the coil and I’ve heard loads of girls on here saying they had to stop taking their pill? Is this the same for all types of contraception? I’m so worried now! I have my consultation Thursday so I guess I can ask then but I don’t see why you would need to stop taking it? Can you help please! Xx

You have to stop taking your pill as it increases the risk of dvt deep vein thrombosis. Not sure about coil? Xx
