    Hi Girls,

I don’t know whether you’re allowed to loosen you MaCom strap a bit? Mine really hurts the muscles underneath my arms and makes it hard to breath. But I’m cautious not to do anything that damages the implants. Can you advise? Thanks xx

Do you mean the bra straps? I did, mine are killing under my arms too. I think because the band is so tight, lowering the straps won’t hurt it too much. If you mean the hook and eyes on the front, I also have mine on the loosest because I bought an XS and it’s reaaaally tight! xx

I mean not the sports bra but the band around the top of the breast that I woke up in after surgery. I remember my nurse loosening it up a bit after I told her it was too tight but then my surgeon came in and tightened it. He told me i should wear it for two weeks, and second week with a sports bra too.

However, it’s so tight that I can hardly breath and it hurts underneath my arms. Did anyone loosen it? I hope it doesn’t make a difference but I’m still scared in case if anything happens :S

I had this problem Tasha. One of my implants was really high and the macom dug in across the top of it, which made the swelling worse and it was really uncomfortable! My nurse wanted it done all the way to the top, which I did when I was out of the house walking about etc, but at home i had it loosened for comfort. I changed to a different bra around day 5 that was loser and it worked wonders, my swelling went down and I was so much more comfy. If you’re just sitting around the house you should be fine, I really think my macom being too tight caused me unnecessary problems, so I guess you just need to find the balance between having them feeling supported, but not having it digging in! Hope it gets better soon xx
