can you still have surgery if one was to have a fever on the day and….

Mornin ladies can’t find any information on this but it came to my attention last night I’m due on around the time my surgery so, does being on period affect surgery or is it ok? Has anyone had Surgery whilst on period?

And also if one was to catch a fever does that affect Surgery aswell

Hi candy no being on your period doesn’t affect surgery but I’m pretty sure a fever or any sort of illness would affect your surgery xxx

I was on my period both times it’s fine you just have to wear a pad ! And if you have a fever any illness then you can’t go through with it but my first op I had abit of a cold I didn’t mention it and I was fine not saying its good to keep quiet tho lol I just wanted my nose done so bad xxx

Just let them know as it can cause your blood to be thinner which isn’t a problem so long as they know, I had mine the first op and was fine. As for fever drs differ, just let them know ahead of time, they will asses you and then decide whats best x

Postpone your Surgery just when I say fever like I mean flu etc there’s a bug goin around and I know sometimes I can get it last minute and for me it always happens when I don’t want it to happen ergh don’t ask lol

And ye I do know the breasts can be swollen sometimes for some girls there glands so can cause extra bleeding so curious if Any girls did have Surgery during period, my boobs don’t really go tender it’s usually my personality that changes yes they are defo my hormones can be a right moody B*tch when I’m on lol xx
