CANCELLED DAY OF SURGERY

Absolutely devastated. Waiting for my surgery and told my heart rate is too high so I need to go to my GP to get it checked out before I can re-book. I’m just really nervous and can’t see how im ever going to calm down enough to get it done!

Hey girl! I also suffer from palpitations (also anxiety induced) and I take propanolol to slow down my heart beat in stressful situations! Fast heartbeat can increase your blood pressure which adds risk to being put under general anaesthesia so as annoying as it is just think of it as something that it’s better to be safe about!🖤 Also propanolol doesn’t interact with general anaesthesia at all so it’s perfectly safe to take it to help you with the rapid heartbeat (and overall stress by the sounds of it!).
