Can't believe it is a week tomorrow

I am looking forward to going to see the nurse tomorrow and getting my dressings changed. Do they just put another on the same or something smaller? Thanks in advance ladies xxxx

Me too! I’ve been dying to go in and make sure everything’s healing okay and that the way my boobs are is okay! I hate how tight and extra firm they feel right now. How are yours? I was thinking they’d probably just change them and put the same size on until 2 weeks? Then I think it’s just steri strips, but I’m not sure! Hope your well! Xx

I’m glad it’s not just me then! I keep checking them in the mirror to make sure they’re okay. Keep panicking! I am at the Manchester one tomorrow at 2:30, how about you? Xxx

3 weeks tomorrow for me, its flown by.
I went to see nurse at 8 days po, she took plasters off and cleaned incisions and put steri strips on which are much smaller than the plasters.
Went back to see her at 15 days po, she took steri strips off and trimmed stitches, my incisions were still quite raw so she put new steri strips on and advised me to have shower 3 days later and take them off after shower pat them dry and giv me new steri strips to put on and then said another 3 days and take them off for good. But im having to cover my left one again with more steri strips as its not healing well.

Thanks Laura that makes sense but it does sound like if they had put another dressing on at the 8 days you might not have had problems xx hope the left one sorts itself out soon for you Hun xxx i keep getting really stabbing pains in my right breast at the moment I’m sure it’s normal but I’ll ask tomorrow xx

Well the steri strips cover them well. Its weird how the right is perfect and the left isnt.

I started with shooting pains the other day, think its totally normal.

I will most probably see you there then. Yes you end up waiting a lot longer. That’s good to know Laura, I hope your incision gets better soon! I keep getting little shooting pains but not really been in any pain at all! I just keep panicking about little things! Xx
