Cleaning!x

Hiya ladies, I’m having my op today my admission time is 3pm and I’m and overnight case I’m super excited and not nervous atal! im writting this post just because the only thing that is making me nervous is cleaning my house I was up until 3am this morning getting everything ironed and put away cleaned up organised and I was up again at 7am and at it again people say I’m OCD I don’t think so i just like things to be immaculate and having three small children under 4years old and a husband it takes up a lot of my time to kept things how I like so I’m just asking what I can I and can’t I do when I’m home xx

My nurse told me not to do any housework at all for a week and I literally didn’t lol my partner had that job. She said no hoovering for two weeks. I done little bits in the first week like pick things up off the floor like kids stuff but that was about it lol xx

My nurse said to me I couldn’t Hoover for 6weeks so this makes me feel better 6weeks no hovering ? My husband is an alpha male and dosent clean cook or anything Probably because he has never had the chance or had to so I will enjoy seeing him doing things for me Lol xxx

You literally can’t do anything I couldn’t even sit up this morning haha or reach my tea? But it’s worth it xxxx

Hey Megan how did it go? Did they have you waiting for long after your admission time? Hope you have a quick recovery! I bet you are over the moon today that it is done! I’m actually looking forward to having to just lay there ? I should of got myself and bell for when I want something ? Xxx

Hey you excited!!? Yeah I’m good just watching Netflix in bed haha! But sore going to take some more pain killers soon but it’s bare able pain I can only describe it as when u have a really tight bra on and the underwire digs In so its bareable lol! My admission time was 12 and I went down to theatre at about 3pm everyone is so lovely!! I’m so happy it’s done but I keep forgetting and try grab something haha! Xxx what time is your admission?

I was able to wipe up, do dishes, load laundry (but not hang it up) etc on day 2 post op. I couldn’t put things away in cupboards. Reaching above head or stretching too far hurt.
I was hoovering by week 3.
Take it easy though.

Hi Stephanie I’m going to friend you if that’s ok as I have 2 boys under 6 and worried about all you have said too. Im in on Sunday but having an uplift as well so alot of stitching and app more recovery. I will be interested to see how you feel and get on but personally I’m just gutting my house this week, uniforms, outfits, footy kits etc put together. Cupboards are bursting with food, loads of frozen meal prep like spag bol and im just going to close my eyes until Im able to clean its all I can do ha ha Hu bby is useless but if he takes care of the kids im all good xxx
