Coming off the pill….

Hi 🙂

So I was 1/4 way through my packet when I had to come off for my op…. I’ve come on and only 5 days until op…I hope it stops!

Did anyone have this? Did it mess up your cycle? How did you go about starting/finishing the packet?xx

you have to stop taking the pill? why? x

I stopped 2 weeks before and came on and finished before my op, I was told by the nurse to chuck the packet I was using away and then wait until I come back on and when I do come back on on the first day take a pill from a new packet and begin from there but each nurse suggests different I think so not 100% xx

Yeah I came off about 1 1/2 before , about 1/4 through the packet, came on today 🙁 5 days to go so hopefully will stop !!

You are supposed to come off to reduce risk – I think it’s like blood clots etc because the pill thins the veins? Something like that. Ask your nurse hun on pre-op she will advise you !

Ok that would make sense hannah…. Start again after the next period…. Oh the joys of being s girl lol! Xx

It depends what pill your on Lorna. I was allowed to continue taking mine, double check with your nurse if your not sure xx

Yeah I ended up being on for the op. The nurse told me most people are. Must be because of the stopping the pill situation x

I’ve just come off my pill 2 weeks before my op and I’m on …10 days to go and on ATM.. Hoping I just have a normal period x
