    Hi girls
    In anyone’s experience I have read that if you are on the contacetive pill you are supposed to come off it 2 weeks before you BA surgery is this true ?????

    Your nurse will tell you depending on the pill that you’re on. I was allowed to continue mine xx

    I went into the pill injection instead of the normal pill. Something to do with the hormones xx

    I didn’t come of my Microgynon, the risk of DVT is so low!!! So I didn’t stop taking it, did me no harm xx

    @Jayde aww right was you told this by your surgeon who did you have I would rather stay on pill to but notnif it will cause problem I’m a little afraid to come off it as I am always fainting around time of the north since being on this pill(10year) I haven’t passed out much at all massive difference

    No I know this coz I’m a nurse. I told them I’m not coming off it coz I’m aware the risk of DVT or PE is sooooo Extreamly low! I had mr traynor. They advise u to stop it but like I said coz I’m aware of the low risk due to what I do for a living I didn’t stop it for the simple fact it would mess my periods up and I didn’t want that, if ur fainting u need to go see ur GP coz the pill shouldn’t cause that, there may be underlying issues such as anaemia, postural hypotension etc xx
