Compression Garment – dissappointed.

I had my surgery done just over two weeks ago ( I had vaser upper lower abs & flanks) But my compression garment has a massive crease in which I cant get rid of and is making a huge difference to my results. ive tried flattening it and everything but no joy. I contacted my nurse at birmingham clinic and she got in touch with my surgeon & head office to try and get my a new smaller one so it would fit better. she called me today to say that they could not provide me with a new compression garment and I would have to buy a new one which is £119.00!!! This is without the 4D vest I need also, They have told me just to get some absorbent pads and fold them in half and to use those instead of a vest. I am really not impressed after paying almost £5000 for my surgery and aftercare and they are not willing to help me get my results.. I need to wear these garments for at least 4 weeks to get my proper results and get rid of fluids and swelling, if I dont I wont get the results. I am really disappointed as I had heard lots of good things about mya and I feel let down and worried I have spent all this money and now I am getting no help and wont get the results I had hoped for. If anyone knows of any cheaper garment website please get in touch. very desperate. but all spent out!!! feeling worried 🙁

Hi Hun, really worry to hear this. Why is it you need a compression garment? I’m guessing its not the strap that I had? Did you have an uplift which is why you need one? I’d tell your PC you’ll be speaking to head office as the garment they have provided is inadequate. My compression band was too tight so they gave me a bigger one but I was still in the hospital at this point (it was the next day). X

Hi hun, I actually had vaser lipo, so with that you wear a compression garment for 6 weeks to get rid of swelling and fluid. ive emailed my pc so im hoping she will sort things, im just so worried after spending all this money and its now not going to work because of my garment. fingers crossed they sort it xx

We understand the importance of a compression garment after a Vaser Liposuction procedure. This said we have spoken to the correct department and Macom have arranged to send you a new thicker garment free of charge.
