    Hi
I have a reserved a date for surgery in October and I am aware that I will need to attend at least three clinic appointments (pre and post-op) but I haven’t been given a date or times. After the e-consult with the surgeon, I spoke to my PC who just told me to expect a pre-op appointment 4 -6 weeks before the surgery, post-op appointment 1-2 weeks and then again 6 weeks following surgery.
I know they probably can’t confirm anything because of COVID 19 but I’m desperate for dates and times so just to get an idea, how soon your pre-op and post-op clinic dates and times were confirmed, also time of surgery. Thank you.

I’m much the same as you, I have my surgery booked for September but I also haven’t had any of my face to face consultations yet. I was told to contact them mid July if I hadn’t heard anything from my PC. I know they’ve started doing surgeries again though so it shouldn’t be long until we hear something surely?… Xx

Hi Anna when about’s in September is your surgery? Mine is September 16th with mr traynor. I’m currently trying to get in touch with mya as my remaining balance £5k is due in 3 weeks but still not had my consultation with him. I’m worried that I’m going to pay the full amount and then he doesn’t offer me the size or profile I’d like and then if I cancel I’ll lose half the procedure money with cancelling with in the 56 days. My P.C. isn’t returning messages, so I’ve tried ringing mya but they are busy so going to call me back soon hopefully. Xx

Your PC isn’t returning you messages?! Is s/he on leave or something? My PC just told me that she’ll contact me as soon as soon as they have the diary open. I find it really annoying. I’m due to pay my surgery off by August but I don’t feel comfortable payi g a loagre amount of money without alkali v anything confirmed. Also I need the dates to book time off work xx

I think they open the nurses calendars 8 weeks at a time. So today you could only make an appointment for the next 8 weeks.

Your pre op nurse appointment is about 2-4 weeks before surgery (or at least mine was)… so they will probably be able to give it to you around 8-12 weeks before your op date??

Your post op appointments are usually made at your pre op appointments if the calendar is open by then if not they will phone you and organize it.

I don’t know if I’m making any sense but I hope this helps

After my first consultation, my P.C. was messaging a lot, she asked if I wanted to book my surgery before meeting the surgeon but because it was a £1000 I told her I’d have to wait until I’ve had the consultation so it’s just £500. After that I sent her a few messages and she didn’t respond. I’d heard the procedure slots were filling up quickly so I decided to book it in and just get it on the credit card. She replied straight away, because she new i was paying money. I’ve sent her 2 more messages since and she hasn’t replied to either again. It’s so annoying. Xx
