Hi everyone, i have seen Mr Traynor and I have a consultation with Mr Mounir booked for next month, hoping to choose and then book surgery for the middle/end of April. Recently there has been a lot of emphasis on research off other people on here, which is really good advice however the company they are recommending have really poor ratings on trust pilot compared to Mya but then I come across a group where surgery’s have gone wrong through Mya. I know that there are good and bad with all companies but it’s really starting to worry me now and it’s hindering my decisions as to whether surgery at Mya is the best option. I felt comfortable with Mya as I’ve been a member on here for quite a while and have met the ladies from the Newcastle clinic but all the negative views lately are making me think twice 🙁 xx

Thank you, a few people have mentioned there. I’ve looked on the website and spoke with them on the phone but it’s hard finding anyone with them done from there. I searched for them on trust pilot and they only have poor shown on their trust rating. It’s such a big decision to make anyway but it has been made harder over the last few days. I enquired a while ago with a company called transform and they have hounded me ever since, which put me off because it makes them look desperate for business. Decisions decisions xx

Personally I researched into surgeons rather than companies, knew from day 1 the first time I met my surgeon who I wanted so was quite lucky in that aspect. Companies as a whole have multiple surgeons so ratings of that may differ massively yet you can find an amazing surgeon who does exactly what you want so I don’t think you can base the majority of positive or negative on say spire, mya or transform etc. Maybe just something to think about, it worked for me that way anyways so thought I’d share, the whole process is overwhelming as it is! Lol xx

Don’t get too hung up on researching clinics…. Its the surgeons you need to concentrate on. I also had my surgery with another provider 3 weeks ago, and I was given the names of 4 surgeons that work from there and given a little bit of back ground info from spire for all 4 Dr’s. I then spent a while researching the Dr’s and made my decision from there. The Dr’s also worked out of other private hospitals as well as NHS. X

Thank you ladies, I will try researching from a surgeon point of view rather than company. It is getting very overwhelming, just when I think I have decided on what I’m going to do I see something negative that knocks me back slightly and makes me rethink. I’ve wanted boobs for over 12 years so it’s not a decision that I have taken lightly I just want to make sure I have explored all options available. . . . Hope your recovery is going well Grace. Thank you both xx

I would keep in mind that a lot of people only bother to leave reviews if they have something negative to say, thousands of people have there boobs done everyday:) definitely agree with the others, if you like a surgeon that you see then focus on that and try not to get caught in reviews, i only met with 1 surgeon and thought yep he’s perfect and i love my results xx

That’s very true Heidi, I had my heart set in going with Mya as the staff have been brilliant at Newcastle, this is the second round of consultations I’ve had as I seen them last July but didn’t go throu with it then due to a change in circumstance. I’ve just had another look online at the reviews for Mr Mounir and the pics of his work I have found have been amazing xx

Go with your gut every time and go with what feels right for YOU and you only. It’s cuz it’s such a big deal you have to think about everything so trust yourself and you won’t go wrong with what feels right xx

Dr. Mounir has worked absolute wonders on me. I’ve actually never seen a result done by him that didn’t look amazing! And he has just been so lovely, so honest, so conscientious all the way through the process, making sure I understand the limitations of my body and ensuring I have realistic expectations in line with the potential risks in my case. I’m four weeks post op today and they’re just beginning to drop and fluff now.

They look great Becca, how are the scars healing? It’s so hard choosing someone, I’ve not seen a great deal of his work but yours look great. I was hoping to meet with Mr Mounir on the 24th jan but I start my new job on Monday so couldn’t and had to push it back to the 14th feb. Xx

How are you feeling about them now? X

Yeah, they really are changing so much. They have definitely got bigger with the drop and fluff! So that is certainly an improvement. I get happier with them every day! My boobs before were literally like Beirut, losing 50lbs in a short period of time absolutely destroyed them. They were empty, saggy and ugly. I was actually embarrassed of them. My right is ahead of my left still, my left is sitting a lot higher and tighter at the moment, but all in time! My scars are small and very well hidden. They sit perfectly under my boobs and more towards the outer edges so if I want to wear something quite low cut they already won’t be visible.

If you search for ‘Mounir’ on this forum you can find a lot of good examples of his work – that’s what I did when I was researching. There’s one girl – Natasha I think – who has achieved my absolute dream end result!

That’s great! You just need to be content with the result and I’m glad you’re getting there.
Losing so much weight unfortunately affects our boobs. A couple of years ago I lost 44lbs over 6 months and I lost all my breast. The good thing was that it was small already so I didn’t end up saggy but when I put on weight again I got them back bigger but ended up totally flat on the top.
Confidence is what all girls need and BA is a good provider.
You love them already and every day will be loving more.
Haven’t seen my incision yet but I hope it’s not going to be visible or it’s going to fade properly over the time xx

I think you’ll have a better experience wherever you’re comfortable. I wasn’t with MYA, I went with another reputable company, but they made me feel so much at ease before, during and after my surgery. My aftercare has been incredible, they’ve called me so many times to make sure I’m okay!! I’m one month post op and they’ve already started to drop and fluff and my scars look sooo good, all the scabbing has come off now and they’re mainly just pink lines already.
It’s just all about what you think and what results your surgeon comes out with. My surgeon is also an NHS surgeon and told me that he wasn’t prepared to go huge and he prides himself on a natural look and I knew that that was perfect for me!
I can’t talk very much about my experience here cause I’m not MYA, but I’d be more than happy to talk to you/show you my results if you drop me a message x

I didn’t want to see my incisions at first because I am very squeamish about that kind of thing – I didn’t look until I was two weeks post op. By then they were already healing very nicely and as Millie-Rose says, they are now just pale pink lines.

I don’t think you should just concentrate on the surgeons – you need to be confident and comfortable with the aftercare, and if Mya do not have a great reputation with aftercare then I would be hesitant.

I think surgeons in companies like Mya are like revolving doors as well, although there’s a few they stick with the companies, a lot of them, as soon as they realise the issues, leave.

Just do your research and go with who you are comfortable with in all aspects of the care – from your initial phone call right through to aftercare. If you like the surgeon but not the company, explore private options.

There’s many avenues you could go down, don’t restrict yourself.

I would say that my aftercare with MYA has also been really good as well – I had three separate people from MYA check up on me immediately after my surgery and I feel I’ve been looked after well at all of my post operative appointments. I have nothing at all that I could complain about in that respect, either.

That’s good Becca, I’m glad everything is going well for you in the healing process. It’s nice to hear positive about Myas aftercare as that one of my main concerns. Everywhere has it’s good and bad I suppose it’s just scary when it’s something so important like this xx

Absolutely, and every individual also has a different perception too, even of the same aspects of the same companies!

I can’t say a bad word about my experience with MYA. Everything went so quick and smooth since the moment I booked my first Initial Consultation. Even now, 3dpo they’ve already contacted me a few times via email and messages asking how I’m doing plus my nurse I had pre op apptm with, phoned me today making sure I’m okay and gave some advices.

Every clinic I think has positive and negative feedback, you wouldn’t find a place with a 100% satisfied patients.
Of course there are different cases and we have different stories so I just said my experience xxx
